Excellent trip. Loved the views, history such as the long fortified walkway to the Vatican. Beware using cafes or ice cream vans around Castel Sant Angelo and the Vatican. They automatically give double measures on massively inflated prices. We were charged EUR78 (card) plus demanded an EUR10 cash tip when we knew there was a risk. On a previous trip 9yrs ago we were charged EUR100 for 4 ice creams and 4 drinks a short walk from the Vatican. Just eat everything elsewhere.

Didn’t need a priority ticket. No one was there at the location. Just buy direct from site. They did send tickets to WhatsApp.
All our service was perfect and according to the explanation on booking area. Just, because there was no line there, you assigned a bad review. So, most of times, there are long lines there. ANyway, according to the tickets we send you, you can skip the line and enter. And it is not a good reason if sometimes is no line, you get a bad review; because it is none of our business and it does not impact our perfect customer service to you. AJA Global Tours
Where the audio devices are located. We don’t see the sign and the workers at the entrance gave us the wrong info. Possible better signage could be added

Tickets on the public website were not available, so this was the next best thing! Although I could have just walked up and bought a ticket, there was no line at the ticket window at 10:30am on a Tuesday on July 7th.

We got the tickets far in advance with no problem. Went through the gate with ease. It was a wonderful experience.

Easy to use a virtual ticket for entrance. It would have been helpful to include an audio guide device. We paid an extra 8 euros for each device but it was helpful to have it to appreciate the purpose and features of the Castelo.

Definitely would have been better with the (optional, 8€/ person) audio guide. There was still a line to wait in - though short, since it was so hot out - even with this ticket. Great communication with the tour company, too - tickets arrived the night before via WeChat and email.

Ticket arrived 1 minute before the reservation time, risking the purchase of other tickets on-site. Tried to contact them in the previous days without a response. Called on the same day without a response. Also called by Viator's customer service without receiving a response. Paid for the audio guide that was not provided, being told that we had to buy it separately from the staff at Castel Sant'Angelo. Two stars only because in the end we were able to access.
