We opted for the night entry, but it didn’t really get dark until we were done. We purchased the gold ticket, which appeared as if we would have additional places to tour and a shorter line, but it didn’t not seem that way. Both lines were the same length and it was just as crowded. In my opinion they sell too many tickets for the time frame, resulting in very crowded stairwells. We opted to do the photo on the roof and well worth the money. One of my favorite photos of our trip!
One of the most unique experiences we had in Spain. The craftsmanship was incredible. If you like architecture and art, there’s few places in the world that combine the two better than this
Casa Batllo was in my top two favorite things in all of Barcelona. The only other which was close was Sagrada. I feel like it’s a must do while in Barcelona. I’ve never seen anything like it!
To Whom It May Concern, I am sorry to be writing this response for one of the tours I booked for a recent trip to Barcelona; however, I believe that you should be aware of the services rendered by the providers you represent, and with your own internal issues! I have used your services before on several occasions including visits to London, Edinburgh, Paris, Rome, and a previous to Barcelona; and, have been satisfied with the results. Also, for the most part the tours which I booked with "Tripadvisor" on my most recent trip were, for the most part, very good. The guided tours of Sagrada Familia and the Picasso Museum were very good with guides who were well informed and very passionate about their subject matter. As these two tours were guided, the guides each had a list of individuals they were serving and made sure all were present prior to beginning the tour. In addition, the staff at the La Pedrera-Casa Mila were very accommodating when we showed up with only a printed copy of our "Tripadvisor" Reference No. and booking, confirming our tour ticket purchase. Within a moment, the facility staff at Casa Milahad found our names and ticket purchase on their computer database. Although unguided, the audio guide was adequate to present a very informative tour of Gaudi's design. Our experience for our final booking at the Casa Batllo was quite disappointing. Although the staff at the facility were polite and made a significant effort to find our names and ticket purchase in their database, they were unable to find it in their antiquated system and would not grant us entry with our printed copy of our "Tripadvisor" Reference No. and booking. Although I have a little more experience in business matters than the 20 year old's running the entry desk, I think it might have been better for their reputation to let two people in than deal with the poor reviews to follow. Although I understand that they are not supposed to allow entry to someone without a ticket (QR code), how many foreign tourists do they encounter trying to gain admission with a printed copy of a "Tripadvisor" (one of their vendors) Reference No. and booking information confirming the purchase of a ticket? As far "Tripadvisor's" responsibility in this issue, if you click on the "Get Your Ticket" on your above email it states the following: "We wish to inform that you will receive a separate entrance voucher pdf on Viator messaging and if you have booked through TripAdvisor or other booking portal you will receive an email notification to download, in case you’re unable to download you can contact the support team of the portal you used for making the booking." It appears you were more intent on selling me more tours than following up with sending me the "entrance voucher!" Although I received numerous emails from "Tripadvisor" to buy additional tours in Barcelona, and other destinations which you "tracked" from my computer searches; but, I never received the follow-up email with my "entrance voucher!" On this occasion, I spent over $500.00 with your company; and, although the tickets to "Casa Batllo" were indicated to be "non-refundable," I believe due to no fault of mine I am due a refund! We arrived in the morning at 10, we bought the platinum ticket which included everything with a beautiful audio guide, even for the children who, like us, were left speechless! The voice that guided us took us on an exciting journey! Highly recommended!
Early admission is the way to go before it gets too crowded. Loved the audio that accompanied the tour. Well worth the visit.
great experience to be repeated for sure
I toured this home as part of a guided walking tour of three Gaudi buildings. This one captivates with curving doors, windows, and walls. With a nautical feeling, delightful details have been incorporated into every room. I came midday and it was quite crowded and there were lines to get through some rooms. We enjoyed our tour and would recommend it if you are visiting Barcelona.
This is a great audio tour that does not take a terribly long time if museums aren’t your thing. This is an unbelievable walk through and the intelligent audio tour allows you to see some things that you might miss with the naked eye. I would highly recommend upgrading to the gold tour as it had a few extra perks and isn’t terribly more expensive. Be careful of the people just trying to take selfies and cause blockages in the narrow hallways!
Brilliant! Really enjoyed a couple of hours here - we bought the Gold package and it was worth it for the extras…particularly having the tablet showing how the rooms would have looked. This ticket also aided fast access and other extras. We enjoyed a drink on the roof and really enjoyed our visit. Highly recommended. We also had 65+ discount.
