I really enjoyed my visit, the tickets are a bit pricey but you could easily spend the whole day there so I think it's worth it. The palace is stunning, a bit of scaffolding due to restoration/preservation work but that didn't spoil it for me. The inside was interesting & didn't take too long. I particularly liked learning about how the palace was built & seeing the clothing displayed. Outside was so beautiful, though some of the grass & plants were suffering a bit in the heat like everywhere else. Lovely walks around the gardens & by the lake. Beautiful old trees along the route & I especially loved the Grand Cascade ❤️ 😍.
Blenheim Palace was fantastic but the booking through Tripadvisor was very poor. The tickets didn't come through and on the day itself I had to call to get access. That cost us half an hour of our precious holiday day. Furthermore, it would have been useful if it was clearly indicated where the shooting of Harry Potter had taken place. Couldn't find that now.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit to the magnificent Blenheim Palace. We sincerely apologise for the issues you experienced with receiving your tickets and for the time this took away from your holiday. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will look into the matter with our partners to help prevent this from happening again. We also appreciate your suggestion regarding clearer information about the Harry Potter filming locations at the palace and will share this feedback with the relevant team. Thank you again for your comments, and we hope the rest of your visit was filled with wonderful memories.
Disappointed that we couldn’t visit upstairs. And I was not notified of the works on going
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your visit to Blenheim Palace did not fully meet your expectations, particularly regarding access to certain areas and the ongoing works. Our website does state that, due to the Blenheim Festival, some disruptions may be in place, however we apologise if this was not clear enough at the time of booking. We understand how disappointing this must have been, especially on a special occasion. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will ensure our communication going forward is improved. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Great Place for Churchill fans to visit for 2 hours. Easy to follow inside and outside route. Learned a lot about the Churchill family. Recommend!
Excellent experience-worth every penny to have a private driver especially one as terrific as David Wilshaw. He was very knowledgeable, professional and charming.
Renovating some of the exterior and the ceiling of the main hall. Excellent presentation of Blenheim Palace history. Tour of the private rooms with a knowledgeable guide was very worthwhile.
There was a triathlon event preparation for the day we visited the palace. We should have been told of this type of event and we could have planned for a different day for a visit should we have known. That being said the staff were wonderful and the palace is beautiful.
The pass you buy on here allows one day access to the Palace and Gardens and car parking. You are given a receipt on showing your voucher qr. Keep the receipt handy its required at certain points. Blenheim is beautiful but it is a very full day especially with doing the walks. If you are going to do the whole thing in a day this ticket is fine purchased off here. If you know you want to visit a few times during the year then this ticket costs same for one day as buying direct off Blenheim that allows multiple visits.
Thank you for your detailed review! We’re pleased to hear that you found Blenheim Palace and its gardens beautiful and that you were able to make the most of your visit. We also appreciate you sharing helpful tips for future visitors, especially regarding the ticket and keeping the receipt handy throughout the day. You’re absolutely right that there’s a lot to explore, and it can make for a full day—particularly if you’re enjoying the walks as well. We also value your insight about ticket options, as it’s very useful for guests considering multiple visits. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback, and we hope you had a truly memorable day!
Absolutely loved this experience but allocate 4-6 hrs to do it all, lots of walking, inside and out with wonderful views. The history is all around you - do inside 1st!
There is a lot of walking and open space but what a space to wander! It takes a bit to get to the palace but it is the only way to see most of it. As you get closer it soon dwarfs you and the reality of how large a place this is begins to dawn upon you! It’s a wonderful tour through the palace and the gardens are a delight! And the gift shop is great having items relating to the site and the smaller statues of the greater ones is a wonderful idea!
