It was an average zoo experience but because of the 600 acres never seemed over crowded which is really good, and always lots of space around, lots of variety and choice of food outlets around the park. Personally I dont see the point of the train ride as you can walk the exact same roughte' (Just another way of getting More money in) but we did use it only because our son brought the tokens (4 adults and 3 children) quite a chunk of money spent on that. Obviously the children loved it but the walk was just as interesting. All in all just a lovely day out with family.
Thank you for your lovely review. We’re so pleased you had a peaceful and enjoyable day with your family and found plenty to see, do and enjoy across the park. We appreciate your feedback on the train ride—it’s great to hear the children loved it, even if it’s not for everyone. We hope to welcome you back again soon!
Lovely zoo very big the train was brilliant that you saw lots of animals just a shame you have to pay extra there is a shuttle bus that's free I didn't use it food was pricey but that's normal the staff were very nice and the animals looked well cared for
Thank you for your review! We’re really pleased you enjoyed your visit and that our team made you feel welcome. We appreciate your feedback on pricing, including the train and food, and will share this with the team. It’s great to hear you found the animals well cared for, and we hope to welcome you back again soon!
Couldn’t find an option to pay for the car entrance online, when I got to the place I had to pay another £30 for the car, so in total just to access I paid 2 tickets =£60+30=£90.00 only for the entrance not counting food and fuel. A bit expensive, I don’t think that it is actually worth that much especially with not being able to see most animals
Lovely easy day out. Plenty to see and do. Went on a cold sunny day and it was so quiet felt like you had the whole place to yourself
Wonderful access to the exhibits. Multiple ways to view the zoo. Multiple places to access hot drinks with plenty of toilet facilities. Great for all ages
This was a really nice half day spent, London zoo has so many stunning animals to see, we all thoroughly enjoyed the location and everything it had to offer. This zoo is well worth the visit
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re delighted to hear you and your group had a lovely half day with us and enjoyed seeing our stunning animals. It’s wonderful to know you found the zoo well worth the visit. We look forward to welcoming you back to London Zoo again soon!
There's lots of walking however there's also lots to see. All the animals have plenty of space. There are an abundance of eateries too. Well worth the trip. It's best to aim for opening time or within an hour to make the most of the day.
A great day at the zoo... We spent six hours walking and briefly driving around and saw so much but ran out of time so didn't get to see the bears, penguins, wolves...and more. Some of the animals we did see close up were lionesses with their tiny lion cubs clambering over them, a baby rhino practicing his technique of challenging a fully-grown male rhino, young giraffes that we could almost touch as we stood on the raised walkway, a pack of beautiful African hunting dogs (a clever mosaic highlighted their area). We saw baby meerkats laying on their backs looking as if they wanted their tummies tickled, an enormous male tiger that appeared to challenge us to see who would blink first, a very large and grumpy looking bison, a parrot that flew directly between us - its wings gently brushing our shoulders as it went...and then there were the informative talks... We planned our day around the timing of a few of the many talks:- Penguins - 11.00 Lemurs - 12.00 Chimps - 12.30 Birds of the World (very popular with children) - 1.30 and 3.30 Butterfly House - 2.00 Hippos - 3.00 Tigers - 4.00 A fabulous day out that we would highly recommend.
Out of season, bit disappointing a lot of the Zoo amenities were not running. We ended up doing a long walk from one restaurant where we were told the viewpoint restaurant will have more food options, to get there and find it was closed. Train wasn’t running. Much of the Zoo now looking quite tired and a lot of the facilities need to be spruced up.
The location and scenery is superlative! The staff there especially team in direct contact with animals is a class apart. We witnessed the feeding of giraffes and Hippos including the peaking of Hippos' droppings and the teams on duty were excellent. The kids were excited and memories created were definitely encrypted in their minds. It was one of those activities we normally do to celebrate our Birthdays and we were celebrating our first born's this time round. Getting back to nature and appreciating every bit of it meant alot to him and his siblings. We enjoyed every bit of it especially the Cat family, Giraffe, Hippos especially the short one from West Africa which is completely different from the type we have in East Africa. The down part of it was that we didn't see elephants and the restaurants closed early. We hope to come again and again
