It was a lot of fun. Local music and live performances, and it's very easy to get around.
Viewing on Wednesday, April 22nd in the first activity of my first trip to Hanoi, 6 days and 4 nights. When I made a reservation, they told me where to find it, and to my surprise, it was almost the middle seat in the front row. I was able to film everything on a tripod on that day. Also, if you go to the theater on the day, the seats sold out after the evening, It is recommended to book early. Note that the audio guide is almost inaudible due to the volume of live music, It is unnecessary because you can understand the story by the movement of the puppet.
They are a very talented group of performers. The singers and musicians were obviously very good. We would advise that you do get the audio guide so that you have some idea on the folklore behind the performances. We did appreciate the professionalism that went into the show, but it wasn’t our thing.
One in a Lifetime experiences. And it's worth every single penny. Whenever you have an opportunity to visit Hanoi, you must go to this theatre, and immerse yourself in the suburbs of Vietnam
Fantastic experience.It's worth seeing is something unique with music shock you feel everything from Vietnam!!!
It takes an hour and is a magical Cultural show. Don't go thinking Disney or Broadway, this is a distinctly Vietnamese cultural, traditional show featuring Water Puppets. The theatre is clean and the seats are very comfortable. We thought it a great experience and I would recommend to everyone, but particularly those with young kids.
There is no audio guide included with the ticket price, I was also sat in G16 (everywhere else sold out) and could hardly see a thing! 50 minutes is a long time to watch puppets you can only just see but can’t understand. Good puppetry skills though. Disappointed as expected it to be better.
This was recommended to us and for an alternative and quirky Vietnamese experience , this fitted the bill perfectly. Would recommend sitting as near to front as possible and we didn’t realize that you good get an audio, but if you’re new to Vietnam , it might be worth it. We just sat back and enjoyed the live music , singing and expertly choreographed and synchronized puppet show which lasted less than an hour.
A very nice show, real music players and singers, great staging of the country. We have a super pleasant time. We really recommend this show.
A very unique and entertaining experience. 50 minutes of story telling, with music and a Vietnamese narration, well worth a visit.
