Itinerario

It's a small museum but worth the detour; the art pieces are incredible and turn heads. I highly recommend it
Thank you so much for the kind words! We're thrilled the pieces made such an impression on you. That head-turning reaction is exactly what we hope for. Hope to see you again soon!
This was a wonderfull experience. A beautiful museum/ art instalation with taxidermy that will make your jaw drop! If you're a curiosity appreciator or just a nature enthusiast just like me, you will love this! The building is full of history, the art pieces (because taxidermy is art) are a delight to see, and don't miss out the bar and the beautiful interior garden!
Thank you so much for this wonderful review! So glad you enjoyed the taxidermy art, the history in the building, and that you made time for the bar and garden too. Hope to see you again soon!
Super experience beautifully done very educational with strong sense of perfection and history telling
Thank you so much for this lovely review! Great to hear you found it educational, and that the attention to perfection and storytelling of history came through. See you again!
Beautiful combination of art, taxidermy and 17th century Amsterdam architecture. Small museum to wallow in 1.5 hours.
Thank you so much for this lovely review! Great to hear how much you enjoyed the combination of art, taxidermy, and the 17th-century Amsterdam architecture. Hope to see you again at Art Zoo!
Beautiful space. The house and space is amazing. The exposition is rather small. Beautiful cafe outside. But just like any other cafe in the Netherlands, nothing exciting to serve. Mediocre, unimaginative “menu” and desserts. At the place like this it should have been much more elevated. It is not that difficult.
Thank you for your kind words and honest feedback! Really glad you enjoyed the house and the space. Our café and menu are something we've put a lot of thought into, and we're sorry it wasn't to your taste this time. We hope you'll give it another chance on a future visit!
We went there with the whole family on Sunday. It was a very special and unique place. I can recommend it to everyone.
What a lovely way to spend a Sunday with the whole family! So happy you had such a special time, and thank you for recommending us to others, that means a lot. Hope to see you all again soon!
Nicely designed and the stories behind the animals etc. were cool. We found the fact that almost everything could be seen through mesh disturbing. In addition, we asked ourselves whether this is art or an animal collection. We came with our ‘art glasses’ and then it’s a bit disappointing.
Thank you so much for such a thoughtful review! We're really the stories behind the animals resonated with you. We wanted to share a bit of context on the mesh, as it's actually a deliberate part of the concept: the installation flips the traditional zoo experience, so it's the visitor who ends up 'inside' the cage rather than the animals. We'd love for you to experience it again with that in mind. Thank you again for taking the time to share such considerate feedback.
A magnificent experience for cabinet of curiosities enthusiasts!
Thank you so much! Wonderful to hear from a fellow wunderkammer lover. Hope to see you again soon!
I will leave it to the Museum’s website to describe what this brilliant, small museum brings to the table. If you love animals, art or history, then this museum is for you. Sick of the queues and push and shove that comes standard with larger museums or churches? If so, please spend an hour or so at this hidden gem in comfort. I found it incredibly moving. Recommend for people who care about our voiceless animals, with whom we share the planet.
Thank you so much for such a heartfelt review! So glad the museum resonated with you, especially the connection to the animals themselves. We love that visitors can take their time here without the crowds. Really appreciate you recommending us to fellow animal, art, and history lovers.
What an incredibly friendly and atmospheric museum this is! We were received by host Chantal who carefully explained how we could best organize our visit. Great! Beautiful property and wonderful rooms furnished with great care and attention. Interesting audio tour, just beautiful half an hour and fun treasure hunt. Recommended to go with children. Lovely little cafe with a beautiful courtyard garden. We'll be back soon!
Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to Chantal, she'll be so pleased to hear it. Really glad you enjoyed the audio tour, the treasure hunt, and the café and garden too, sounds like the perfect visit for the whole family. Can't wait to welcome you back!
