Mark Frazier was our guide and he was amazing! So entertaining with lots of facts about Hawaii. He made sure everyone was comfortable and had what they needed. Definitely recommend the waterfall tour and swimming in it was the next part. 10/10!
Mahalo for the 10/10 review! We are thrilled to hear that you had such a great time on the waterfall tour. Mark is an incredible guide, and we'll be sure to share your kind words with him—he loves sharing his passion for Hawaii's history and ensuring everyone stays safe and comfortable. There really is nothing quite like taking that refreshing dip in the waterfall! We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope to share another adventure with you in the future. Safe travels!
Waterfalls hike was the highlight of our Big Island trip. The guides Mark and Rachel told us many interesting facts about the Big Island and the flora/fauna in our hike. We’ve swam in waterfalls on other islands, but this was special because we learned so much and had access to private uncrowded waterfalls that weren’t 6-10 miles to hike to.
Mahalo for the amazing review! We're thrilled that our waterfall hike was the highlight of your Big Island trip. Mark and Rachel will be delighted to hear that their knowledge made your experience so special. We love offering exclusive, uncrowded access to our private waterfalls without the long trek, and we're so glad it stood out from your other island adventures. Hope to see you on the trails again soon!
We had a great time on the Hawaii Forest & Trail Secret Waterfalls of Kona Excursion! Our guide, Mark, was incredible--he kept everyone talking and he was genuinely interested in hearing everyone's travel stories. He was very knowledgeable and provided us with a wealth of fascinating information about the island. After a comfortable van ride, we hiked a beautiful trail that led us to a series of truly stunning, pristine waterfalls. We were treated to a delicious lunch from a local deli, and we loved that it was mostly served in eco-friendly, reusable containers. On the way back, we made a perfect final stop at a local macadamia nut store. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and we recommend it!
Mahalo for the fantastic review! We are so glad you loved the Kohala Waterfalls excursion and that Mark made the day so engaging and informative. It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed the local deli lunch and our eco-friendly efforts, as well as the final mac nut stop! We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back again soon.
Dave gave us s great tour of the property and waterfalls! Each waterfall was better and better. We had plenty of time to swim around and the views from our picnic were stunning. Highly recommend this tour. Can’t leave Hawaii without doing this tour.
Mahalo for the incredible review! We are so glad that each waterfall blew you away and that you enjoyed the swimming and picnic views. Dave is fantastic, and we'll be sure to pass your kind words along to him. Hope to see you again!
Our guide, Mark, is amazing! He is very energetic, engaging, knowledgeable and caring. We saw three waterfalls, learned a lot about preservation efforts and local agriculture in this private nature reserve and ended the tour with a well prepared picnic lunch with an amazing view of the sea cliffs!
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear you loved the waterfalls, the local history, and that picnic view. Mark is truly amazing, and we'll be sure to share your kind words with him. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future!
Our guide was fabulous and it there was some beautiful scenery; however, there was very little activity overall, which we can only attribute to ourselves selecting this particular adventure in lieu of one with more distance and elevation. There were several children in our group and it was really ideal for kids and parents with kids. The guide was so well-tempered and knowledgeable - perfect for these types of tours.
It was a wonderful activity of viewing beautiful waterfalls and hiking to them along with a lot of information given by our guide, David.
So glad you had a great time out there! Dave is a wealth of knowledge, and those waterfalls are definitely a highlight. Mahalo for joining us!
Mark, our tour guide was absolutely amazing. He was such a joy to be with and we all enjoyed it extremely. Swimming in the waterfall and then the view where we ate lunch was worth the money.
Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re thrilled to hear that Mark made your day extra special. There’s nothing quite like that waterfall swim and the lunch view—we’re so glad you felt it was worth every penny. Aloha!
I wasn't sure what to expect here but the description talks about 'adventure', which gave the impression of a pretty exciting day. The reality was a bit more mundane. The drive to the location was something - quite a ride off road - but in the van that picked us up from the hotel. On the short hike, I did appreciate the guide talking about native plants and pointing out strawberry guava that were ready to eat! The waterfall was pretty and most people did swim - refreshing as it was a sticky day! Another off road drive to a lunch spot with great views. Lunch was good. An ok day, but adventure seems a bit of an exaggeration.
Mahalo for the review! It’s great to hear you enjoyed the scenery and the swim. We're lucky to have guides who love sharing the history of Hawai'i and our native plants. We appreciate your feedback regarding the adventure description. We aim for a day that balances nature and exploration, but we understand that 'adventure' means different things to different people! We hope you'll join us again for a different adventure. Our Hidden Craters Hike may be more adventurous for you.
Absolutely amazing and definitely worth the money! Matteo was our guide and he was terrific! My husband and I were with 4 other adults and 2 kids. He was very patient with everyone and offered to take photos throughout the day. The waterfall was obviously my favorite part and even better that our group had it to ourselves! Matteo did a great job presenting information and telling stories related to the history of the Big Island. Thank you!!
