A bit confusing. Original info did not match info we received on what’s app. We talked to two bus drivers and they did not have our name. Then talked to cruise boat and they did not know our info, but let us on. Thought it was a 5 hr cruise and train ride back. But whatsapp info had 4 Google drive documents that were our tickets to a 30 minute bus ride to train station for train ride to Voss. Then a 1 hour 15 min bus ride from Voss to Gudvaugen. Then a 2 hour cruise to Nærøyfjord. From there to Flåm. We got on a cruise to Flåm. There were no seats on the boat. Very packed with people. Many stops for passengers to get on and off. Flåm train ride was a bit warm but good. Saw waterfalls there and interesting info about train and area.
Dear traveler, During the high season, the itinerary may change based on tickets availability. However, we did send the updated itinerary and ticket links in advance via Viator chat and email, which included all the correct details for your specific travel day. We do understand that self-guided trips can feel overwhelming at times, particularly when there are multiple connections involved. Regarding the cruise being overcrowded — the fjords are very popular during peak months, and seating can be limited. I’ll be sharing this feedback with the cruise operator to help improve the experience for future travelers. I'm glad to hear you still enjoyed the Flåm Railway and the beautiful scenery — it truly is a special part of Norway. I appreciate your honest review and will take your comments seriously to improve how we support our guests, especially during the busy season. Warm regards, Kseniia Easy Travel team
The cruise and railway trip were spectacular as were the sights. Every moment was executed with professionalism and courtesy
Hi there, Thank you for your kind words! Really glad to hear you enjoyed both the cruise and the Flåm Railway — it’s hard to beat those views along Sognefjord. And it’s great to know everything felt smooth and well-organized throughout the day. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and hope to welcome you again on another trip in the future. Best regards, Easy Travel Team
Loved the train ride in Flåm the most with a quick stop at a strong waterfall. The fjords were nice as well.
Hi Fred, Thanks for your review! The Flåm Railway does tend to steal the spotlight - especially with that waterfall stop along the way. Glad you enjoyed that part the most, and nice to hear the fjords made a good impression too. We appreciate you sharing your experience and hope to have you with us again in the future. Best regards, Easy Travel Team
We were contacted by a rep day before our trip to remind us about the details and to ensure we got our tickets. Everything went smooth and the views were spectacular. We highly recommend this self guided trip, really no need to spend extra money on a guide.
Hi Anna, Thank you for sharing your experience! Glad everything went smoothly and that the reminder and ticket check helped you feel prepared before the trip. And of course, it’s hard to go wrong with those views along the way. You’re absolutely right - for many travelers, the self-guided format works really well and gives a bit more flexibility while still covering all the highlights. We appreciate the recommendation and hope to have you with us again in the future. Best regards, Easy Travel Team
My daughter and I had no trouble at all following the detailed instructions (which were delivered to our hotel the day before our tour). Everything ran like clockwork and all went smoothly. We had a wonderful day .. the fjord was just beautiful!
Was a little concerned when I booked this tour. Self guided tour? No worries! Representative came to our hotel the night before with all the required vouchers and a good explanation of what the trip involved. Had a wonderful, relaxed day from the railway station to the bus back to Bergen. Everything in between was icing on the cake. Highly recommend this tour for anyone. What a great way to see the Hardangerfjord and surrounding area!!
Hi Mark, Thanks for sharing this! Totally understand the initial hesitation with a self-guided tour - glad it turned into such a smooth and relaxed experience for you. Having everything explained in advance really does make a difference. Sounds like you made the most of the whole journey, from the train rides to the fjord views (and yes, everything in between really does feel like a bonus). Just a small note for future trips - if you’re back in Norway, you might also enjoy exploring Hardangerfjods or even Geirangerfjord for a different kind of scenery. Appreciate the recommendation, and hope to see you again on another adventure. Best regards, Easy Travel Team

The information was easy to follow on this self guided tour. Unfortunately the Voringsfossen waterfall was shrouded in mist, but it was still a great day and we did see many waterfalls on other trips.

This was a wonderful adventure. We had come through part of the fjord on the cruise ship in the fog and rain so this day we had glorious sun for most of the day. The instructions were detailed and perfect allowing us to navigate on our own the various transfers train to bus to boat etc. without any difficulty. The operators of the train, busses and boats were very helpful with any questions and spoke all English. The scenery cannot be beaten. If you are thinking of doing this and hesitate for fear you will not be able to navigate on your own, just do it and you will not be disappointed.
