We had a wonderful day with Flori. He picked us up at our Hotel and drove us to Berat. On the way we could listen to our favorite music. Once in Berat he showed us the castle and told us about the history before we stopped at the oldest house in the castle to drink coffee an raki with the owners of the house. After that we had lunch at a winery near Berat. They have a terrace with a beautiful panoramic view and serve delicious food as well as homemade wine and raki. The owner even took time to drink his newest raki creation with us. After that we went back to Berat and had some time to explore the town before heading back to Tirana. Flori was very nice and a safe driver, we would definitely recommend this tour.
Small charming village with houses facing the river with numerous windows. Narrow and stony streets that generate a surreal atmosphere in the scorching August sun. Stop with coffee milkshakes in the town square in clear modern style opposed to the village on the other side of the river. Unesco World Heritage Site. Worth a visit
I am so happy I took this tour, Endri is a Perfect Guide and his knowledge of his country, beautiful Albania and of history is amasing! I loved every minute of my trip and I would repeted it any time. Had a great time discovering Castle of Berat and surrounding cities, delicious food in Alpeta Winery in Rushnik village. I will miss this❤️ Magdalena
If you want to visit Berat from Tirana, then you absolutely have to go through this agency, because EVERYTHING was absolutely perfect. First of all, we contacted Good Albania by email to get information about their rates and if they had French speaking guides. The communication was perfect, and bookings really easy. On the day of the excursion, we were fortunate to have an exceptional Francophone guide, Enea, who allowed us to have a fantastic day. He told us a lot about Albania, its history, its culture, its different religions, its gastronomy, he made us laugh many times, and knew how to answer all our questions. Berat's visit was great, especially thanks to Enea who took the time to explain everything. One of our best experiences since we travel full time. Thank you!
Amazing tour from our guide, Rando!!! He picked us up from our accommodation, was really easy to communicate with, and gave us such an amazing day. We went touring around the castle, the city and even had a wonderful meal at a country side restaurant we would never find ourselves. Super informative. Very flexible. He gave us so many recommendations during our tours (like where to go in Tirana, which restaurants and bars etc). Thank you so much for an amazing time.
Council guaranteed. Our guide shone as much as possible with little time showing kindness and seriousness. Albania beautiful and welcoming, worth visiting. Thanks again Rando
A really good day trip from Tirana to see the historical Berat and a sweet family run vineyard. A great informational walking tour of Berat castle by someone that lives in the castle grounds is a nice touch. The winery stop for lunch was amazing, and their wines are divine; I wish I could have bought some back with me! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Albania.
I had a wonderful time in Berat. The trip is very interesting, lots of things to see and visit. The guide was perfect, we had a great time. The wine tasting is a must do. The place is great and the wines are delicious. Everything in the trip put the spotlight on the locals. I highly recommend for you to book this tour when you're in Albania.
I'd contacted Good Albania about a month before my trip and they promptly informed me that they'll put me in their system and if they can make a group, they'll contact me. Surprisingly, they contacted me twice- one for the Berat History and Wine tasting tour ( lasted around 10 hours + as spent a few hours at the winery) and the Communist Tour (7 hours+ -includes lunch). Both tours were 3 or fewer participants. The guides were very knowledgeable, professional and patient. The tour was done leisurely and I never felt rushed. Lunch ( not included in the Berat Tour) was eaten at a family owned restaurant with homecooked delicious food and home made ice cream that was to die for. The highlight of the tour was a family owned winery where 3 bottles of wine ( two red and a white) along with 2 bottles of raki- more than just tasting a few glasses of wine. The last stop of the Communist Tour was having raki at the Communist Bar in Tirana- what an appropriate ending to an insightful and educational tour. Overall, the two tours were more than good-they were GREAT! This was due to the wonderful guides, small group and the attentive office staff who prioritize their guests. A trip to Albania isn't complete unless you take at least one tour with Good (Great) Albania Tours.
Thank you so so much Jad for taking the time for such a wonderful description of your experience with us and Albania. It means the world to us! We will continue to be Good Albania with GREAT guests :) !
Our tour guide was fantastic and spoke very good English. Berat was beautiful and well worth the trip. We particularly enjoyed the wine tasting, where we were made so welcome. Our guide was very thoughtful and added so personal touches to the trip. We would definitely recommend this tour company and will use them again.
