The scenic area is required to shut down all downhill cable and toboggan facilities during thunderstorms for safety reasons. This policy is out of our control, and we totally understand your frustration. Safety always comes first for all visitors. We have contacted the site to ask for a partial refund but still haven't got any response. And We will add weather reminders on our product page to remind future travellers about sudden weather shifts on the Great Wall.
