Enjoyed this tour of the City of Saint John and Saint Martin's Sea Cave. I booked a group tour and ended up by myself in a private tour. My tour guide, Khusro, was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating, providing lots of info, answering questions, taking pics. I had a great day, thanks again.
We had Derrick. Was upgraded to private tour. Saw so much more. So very happy. Very knowledgeable. Knows lots of info on area. Extra history given everywhere. I'd certainly recommend. Very friendly, super nice. We had a great time. Learned so much. Thank u
We had a good time with a private tour guide along with 2 other couples. Special thanks to Yasini, our tour guide for taking us to the important spots and giving us enough time to explore at our pace. All in all, it was a great experience and worth the time spent in St John.
We booked this tour because the description promised a comprehensive Saint John experience, including stops at Loyalist House, Carleton Martello Tower, the Jewish Historical Museum, Moosehead Breweries, Reversing Falls, the Bay of Fundy, and the Saint Martins Sea Caves. Unfortunately, several of the locations specifically listed in the tour description were never visited, including Loyalist House, Carleton Martello Tower, and the Jewish Historical Museum. We only stopped at Moosehead Brewery because my husband specifically asked if we could go there, even though it was listed as one of the planned stops. Our driver was very friendly and accommodating, but the experience felt more like a taxi service than a guided tour. We were traveling with two other couples in a van, and I felt especially bad for the three passengers seated in the back, who likely had difficulty seeing many of the sights and hearing what the driver was saying. I was seated in the middle and still struggled at times. One example was the Three Sisters Lights. We drove by and were simply told, "We call this the Three Sisters Lights," with no explanation of their history or significance. Thankfully, another guest on the tour looked up the information online and shared it with the group. Throughout the day, I found myself wishing the guide had more historical information, stories, or even a simple fact sheet to reference as we passed points of interest. Another disappointment was the Saint Martins Sea Caves. The Viator photos show visitors walking into the caves, but when we arrived they were roped off and inaccessible. While I understand that conditions can change, it would have been helpful to know this in advance. The scenery was beautiful, and Saint John and the Bay of Fundy are absolutely worth seeing. This tour has the potential to be excellent, but it would benefit greatly from a knowledgeable guide who provides more information about the sites and ensures that the itinerary matches the locations advertised in the description. Overall, a pleasant day with a nice driver, but not the guided sightseeing experience we expected based on the tour description.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding our Bay of Fundy Shared Tour Adventure. We genuinely appreciate hearing from our guests, as it helps us continue to improve our tours and services. First, we are pleased to hear that you found your driver, Mr. Alham, friendly and accommodating. He is one of our most experienced and highly rated guides, with many years of service and a long history of receiving outstanding reviews from guests. We would like to clarify a few points regarding the attractions mentioned in your review. Your tour took place on a Saturday, when some historic sites, including the Jewish Historical Museum and Loyalist House, were closed due to their regular operating schedules. In addition, Carleton Martello Tower is currently closed to the public while undergoing a major restoration project. Unfortunately, these closures are beyond our control, and while we strive to showcase as many highlights as possible, access to certain attractions can be limited by operating hours, restoration work, or other circumstances. Regarding the Saint Martins Sea Caves, access is entirely dependent on tide levels and safety conditions. While visitors can sometimes walk into the caves at low tide, access is restricted when conditions are unsafe. On the day of your tour, barriers were in place for visitor safety. We certainly understand your disappointment, but guest safety must always come first. With respect to Moosehead Breweries, our shared tour includes a stop at the historic brewery property for photos, information, and an introduction to its significance in Saint John’s history. On the day of your visit, the facility itself was closed due to a holiday. Full brewery tours and tavern experiences are offered separately and are not included as part of the shared sightseeing tour. Nevertheless, we were happy to accommodate your husband’s request to stop there. Our shared tours are operated in comfortable full-size vans and are designed for small groups of up to six or seven guests. During this tour, no concerns regarding visibility or hearing were brought to our attention by any passengers. However, we appreciate your comments and will continue looking for ways to enhance the experience for guests seated in all areas of the vehicle. We also value your feedback regarding the level of historical narration provided during the tour. Every traveler has different expectations, and your comments help us identify opportunities to improve. We continuously work with our guides to ensure our guests receive both an enjoyable sightseeing experience and meaningful information about the region’s history, culture, and landmarks. We are glad that you enjoyed the beauty of Saint John and the Bay of Fundy, and we appreciate your recognition of the area’s remarkable scenery. Thank you again for choosing VGO Tour and for sharing your thoughts. We wish you many wonderful travels ahead and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future. official visiting hours for the Saint John Jewish Historical Museum are: * Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM * Sunday (July & August): 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM * Saturday: Closed * Winter season (November to May): By appointment only Best wishes
Great small tour. Khurram text day before and called morning off with pick up information. Met them outside the port easy pickup and drop off. Very informative tour and made two bonus stops along the way, one was theirs and other was one we asked to stop at driving by something and no issues accommodating us. Other users with us phone died and he tried very hard to get him a charging cable from their other tour vans that were out, never found one for them, but showed how accommodating he was. Highly recommend, back in plenty of time for cruise and walked the outdoor container park area.
Overall we enjoyed the Bay of Fundy experience, but the transportation setup was not what we expected. We were placed in a standard car and one guest (me, since I was the shortest I volunteered)had to sit in the middle between two adults for a five hour tour, which was quite uncomfortable. It would be helpful to clarify vehicle type and seating arrangements in advance so guests can set expectations appropriately. Had I knownwe were usuing a personal vehicle I wouldn't have booked this tour. The ride was very cramped, and it felt presumptive for the company to assume that complete strangers would be comfortable sitting so close together. Our bodies were essentially in contact for the entire five hour tour.
Hi Iris, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re pleased that you enjoyed the Bay of Fundy experience, though we’re sorry the seating arrangement did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that transportation was provided in a luxury Audi A8 as part of our small group experience, not a personal vehicle. While many guests appreciate the intimate setting as reflected by other guests on the same tour we understand that comfort and personal space preferences vary from person to person. We appreciate your suggestion regarding providing more details about vehicle type and seating arrangements in advance, and we will certainly consider how we can better set expectations for future guests. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to New Brunswick in the future. VGO Tour Team
Saheed did a great job of showing us the highlights of St John. We enjoyed seeing the sights with him.
What an incredible day exploring the Bay of Fundy! We would like to thank our guide, Tareq, for making this experience so memorable. Throughout the tour, he shared countless fascinating facts about the region, its history, geology, and the unique natural phenomena that make the Bay of Fundy so special. He was always happy to answer questions and was genuinely enjoyable to spend the day with. We were especially grateful that the tour was operated even though it ended up being just the two of us. That level of commitment says a lot about a company that truly values its customers and maintains a high standard of service and reputation. The tour took us to beautiful locations that we would never have discovered on our own. Every stop offered something unique and breathtaking. And the Bay of Fundy itself is simply astonishing—the dramatic tides and natural wonders are unlike anything we have ever seen before. The Bay of Fundy is famous for having the highest tidal range in the world, and seeing it in person is something no photo or video can fully capture. If you are visiting New Brunswick, this tour is absolutely worth it. Some things simply have to be seen with your own eyes, and the Bay of Fundy is one of them. Highly recommended! Kind regards, Alex and Mary SF Bay Area, California 🇺🇸🌉

It was a great experience and introduction to St. John. We saw many examples of the beautiful architecture downtown, drove to St. Martin's to view the sea caves and had a delicious lunch at the Caves restaurant. We toured local parks and went to the reversing falls bridge. Our guide Yasir was very knowledgeable of the town and NB in general. It was a great tour and we learned a lot.
