La Basilica di San Nicola è un'importante meta di pellegrinaggio da ogni parte del mondo.
La cattedrale, sede dell'arcivescovo di Bari-Bitonto, è dedicata a San Sabino, vescovo di Canosa, le cui reliquie furono portate qui nel IX secolo.
Il castello normanno-svevo ospita la Gipsoteca, collezione di calchi in gesso e mostre d'arte temporanee.
Piazza Ferrarese è da sempre uno dei punti di accesso al centro storico che, con le sue stradine, i vicoli e i piccoli slarghi, si estende da Piazza Ferrarese - Piazza Mercantile fino al Castello Normanno-Svevo. Durante i recenti restauri, che hanno interessato non solo la piazza ma anche gli edifici circostanti, è venuto alla luce un breve tratto dell'antica Via Appia - Traiana, costruita dai Romani all'inizio del II secolo d.C.
La piazza ha sempre rappresentato il cuore delle attività commerciali e amministrative della città per la presenza del mercato cittadino (attualmente non presente in quest'area) e del palazzo Sedile, che è il punto di riferimento storico del Comune di Bari. Oggi, per i cittadini baresi è un insostituibile punto di incontro.

Great experience, fun biking around the city. Well organized. It does get hot during the afternoon hours so either morning or late afternoon is a good option.

The bike tour with the inspiring Dorothea was an experience. We have seen and experienced a lot in an entertaining way. She had an answer to all the questions. You can tell that she enjoys the tours herself. We had a lot of fun making pasta. Everyone liked it!

Can’t recommend this tour enough! Fredrica was a fantastic bike guide throughout the city and surprised us with delicious focaccia bread mid tour. While we waited for our pasta making experience, Alessio gave us a ride around town via pedicab, eventually ending at a nonna’s home to make pasta. The pasta making experience was fun as a couple and an authentic experience. All the staff spoke English well (our nonna did not but Alessio stayed as translator) and were very friendly!

It was great fun and highly recommended. The start was a little less because our mother fell with the bike (high step), but Julia solved this super well. She asked several times how our mother was doing and offered to convert the bike ride and go with a Riskja. An hour later we started and Julia showed us many beautiful places and told us very enthusiastically. Making the pasta was a fun experience. The 'nonna' shows how she makes the dough and then you make the pasta ears yourself. You also get a plate to taste. All in all a super nice afternoon and all compliments to Julia who told with passion about the city and gave us many tips.

Nice tour. We were not able to do the pasta making because the lady was sick but they have us a food tour instead.
It was such a pleasure! It was a rainy day so they offered us different possibilities…walking, ride the bikes with rain jackets or take the Rikscha. We chose the Rikscha and had so much fun with Anna! Such a funny and also strong person 💪😉 And also the cooking with Vincenzo was such a funny experience. We feel safe to “produce” our own Pasta at home now and laughed a lot. Thanks to these amazing people for this beautiful Day! 🫶🏼
