Our guide Som was absolutely delightful. She was charming, kind, humorous and very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Thai and Buddhist culture. This is an extremely photogenic area, with a wide variety of houses and temples along the canals. The electric powered boat was gorgeous and very comfortable and quiet, and was the perfect way to explore the narrow canals. Seeing the giant Buddha appear around a corner of the canal was stunning, and the tour of Wat Paknam was wonderful. Be prepared to see large numbers of colourful (but noisy) longtail boats cruising in this area. Monitor lizards sunning themselves on the banks of the canal and sometimes swimming alongside the boat are also a common sight. Highly recommended.

What a great experience, from beginning to end! Lovely greeting at the restaurant. We arrived early and had a wonderful meal along the river before the canal ride, which was informative and relaxing and fun. Highly recommend!
