Qui i fedeli bruciano le offerte su un piccolo focolare, il tempio di Kehen è uno dei templi più belli di Bali in piedi sopra un ripido pendio. Per raggiungere il cancello d'ingresso si deve salire una scala in pietra con 38 gradini sorvegliati da statue di pietra su entrambi i lati, fino al cancello. A differenza di altri templi balinesi in cui l'ingresso è un cancello diviso, non così a Pura Kehen, che ha un grande cancello a forma triangolare simile a quello di una montagna, dove su Java, tale forma è chiamata gunungan (gunung che significa montagna).
Il tempio di Besakih è uno dei luoghi di interesse più popolari di Bali aperto al turista ed è il luogo ideale da visitare durante la tua vacanza nell'isola di Bali. Questo tempio indù noto come il Tempio Madre di Bali da oltre 1.000 anni, si trova a 1.000 metri di altezza sulle pendici sud-occidentali del Monte Agung. Besakih è un complesso artistico e unico che comprende almeno 86 templi che includono il principale Pura Penataran Agung (il Grande Tempio di Stato) e altri 18. Besakih è il più grande e il più santo dei templi dell'isola ed è circondato da risaie mozzafiato, panoramiche, colline, montagne, ruscelli e altro ancora.
Tempio di Tirta Empul che significa sorgente di acqua santa è in realtà il nome di una fonte d'acqua situata all'interno del tempio. La sorgente alimenta vari bagni di purificazione, piscine e stagni di pesce che circondano il perimetro esterno, che sfociano tutti nel fiume Tukad Pakerisan. Vari siti in tutta la regione e molte altre reliquie archeologiche riguardano miti e leggende locali. Come è comune con i templi balinesi, il complesso del tempio di Tirta Empul ha tre divisioni chiave, vale a dire un cortile anteriore, secondario e interno.
Gunung Kawi Sebatu è un tempio acquatico indù dedicato a Vishnu, che si dice regni sull'acqua. Il sito si trova in un tuffo nel terreno ed è circondato su tre lati da muri di pietra e il quarto da un ripido pendio boscoso. Il complesso del tempio è costruito su una sorgente naturale, che alimenta una serie di stagni e piscine. Una combinazione di tutto il verde combinato con le caratteristiche dell'acqua dà a Gunung Kawi Sebatu un'atmosfera calma e pacifica. In realtà questo è probabilmente uno dei templi più belli di Bali ed è molto probabile che avrai il posto quasi per te quando visiterai.
Il tempio di Goa Gajah è uno dei luoghi di interesse più famosi di Bali, è un sito archeologico di notevole valore storico che lo rende un luogo speciale da visitare. Situato sul fresco margine occidentale del Bedulu Village, a sei chilometri dal centro di Ubud, non ti serve più di un'ora per scendere nel suo cortile pieno di reliquie e vedere le incisioni sulle pareti rocciose, una grotta meditazionale centrale, piscine e fontane. Il nome del tempio è leggermente fuorviante, dando l'impressione che sia una gigantesca dimora piena di elefanti.

We were picked up from Kuta which we were very grateful for as the tours were super far from our area and the other tours we were looking at did not offer us a pickup. At the first stop our driver Nyoman gave us a tour of a temple that had no other visitors and he was telling us how tours don’t usually come there because it’s a bit remote, after seeing how crowded the main temples were we realised how special that experience was. Nyoman is very knowledgeable, friendly, a good safe driver, speaks good English, took some lovely photos of us and made our day super enjoyable. Even just driving down the streets he was happy to answer our questions about culture, language, etc. He also was flexible enough to tailor our schedule to let us stay and explore the places we wanted to the most on the itinerary. If you are booking with this company request Nyoman, he is an absolute gem!

Our guide Made Wijaya was brilliant. Very kind and patience, he tooks hundreds of pictures of us, he is an excellent driver. Always prompt to satisfy our touristic needs. We had a nice lunch full of vegetarian options for us in a restaurant with a spectacular view on rice terrace. We truly reccomend Made Wijaya as a guide. Top

We visited some beautiful temples today. Due to restoration works, we were told early on by our driver Ketut that we would not be able to visit Kehen temple. He offered to take us to Ulu Petanu waterfall instead, which was lovely. We went to the Elephant Cave first, which was great as it was still early in the day and not busy. It’s a beautiful temple with an expansive piece of forest behind it which we enjoyed walking in. Besakih was next, and while the temple was gorgeous, especially with such great weather, we were accosted by touts demanding too much money for offerings and guides expecting hefty tips and donations. The setting was lovely, and there was a lot of preparation going on for the ceremony with lovely decorations and costumes, so that was fantastic to witness, just be alert when you visit here so you don’t fall foul, and don’t be afraid to say no. Tirta Empul was similarly undergoing preparations and was a hive of activity. If you plan to do the water purification ritual, we would actually recommend you wait, as it was very busy here and lines were long. You can do the ritual at the final stop in more tranquil settings and get a better experience. Ulu Petanu waterfall was a beautiful stop, and a much needed calming spot after two busier temples. We loved it. Gunung Kawi Sebatu was probably our favourite stop. It’s a lovely temple, very quiet and with a pond full of koi and ducks. As mentioned, we saw people having the water ritual here and it looked a far nicer experience than at Tirta Empul, so if you do this tour and want to do this, do it here if you like it quiet. Lunch at Tegallalang Rice Terrace was good, and afforded us some lovely views. It was a nice inclusion. Overall we had a great day, and Ketut was very friendly.

Our guide (Gusti) was super helpful and kind. We went to multiple temples throughout the day and Gusti explained in depth of the different practices, meaning and symbolism of each temple and god. He is also very good at taking photos for your group. I recommend on going on this tour with Gusti as your guide!!!

We had such a pleasant time on this tour. Putra was absolutely wonderful. He gave such insightful facts throughout the tour to help us understand where we were going and the overall culture of Bali a bit more. He made the day very memorable with his jokes. We had a wonderful day in various temples around Ubud. Our tour guide Naya was very friendly and competent. He offered us alternative routes because one temple was very crowded. On the way back we were also able to spontaneously visit a gallery and a market.
