Tour dell'oliveto di Balestrate: degustazione di vino e olio d'oliva

This was a gem of a tour. It was really interesting to learn about the olives and see the grove, and then a delightful tasting with the family. Such a lovely atmosphere and very relaxed! And the olive oil and wine tastes stunning!

My husband and I really enjoyed our visit to Essensily Olive grove tour. It was a very authentic experience. I promise, you will not find a better one. Francesco was our tour guide. His knowledge and passion for their family business is very evident. Meeting his Grandmother was a very special part. We enjoyed their delicious olive oil with her homemade authentic Sicilian foods. If you’re in the area of Palermo, Trapani, even Cefalu… it’s worth the drive!!

This truly was a wonderful learning experience and an amazing opportunity for real Nonna food sampling! Francesco was so passionate in explaining his family’s olive oil and wine making. It was so heartwarming to share an authentic Sicilian lunch made by his Nonna and hearing Nonno’s stories!! This was one of the best tours we did in Sicily !

We had a great experience with Francesco and his family touring their police grove and enjoying the tasting back at his grandparents house. The tour was very educational and we really enjoyed trying not only the olive oil, balsamics, white and red wine and lemoncello but also all of the homemade food the mother prepared which were delicious!

We booked a private session (9 ppl) with Francesco and had a fabulous time. We really enjoyed the homely atmosphere and familial touches he's added to this tour. We were so lucky to have been able to do our tasting in his Nona & Nono's home. We were told that this would be changing next year! Also meeting Fancesca (mom) was a pleasure. If you are looking for a Sicilian experience and not a corporate tour, this is for you.

Francesco and his family gave us an extraordinary experience. It couldn't have been more perfect. My mom, older sister and I came from Puerto Rico to celebrate their birthdays and booked this experience last minute because of the good reviews and it has been the highlight of our trip. Worth every penny. Him and his family are lovely and amazing people. The quality of Francescos products are outstanding and DELICIOUS. 20/10 definitely recommend

Our tour with Franchesco was absolutely fantastic and one of the highlights of our trip. The wine and olive grove experience was authentic, welcoming, and incredibly enjoyable. We loved tasting both the delicious olive oils and the excellent wines while learning about how they’re produced. What made the experience truly special was meeting Franchesco’s parents and grandparents. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel like welcomed guests rather than tourists, and it gave us a genuine glimpse into their family’s traditions and way of life. If you’re looking for an authentic, family-run wine and olive grove tour, I couldn’t recommend this experience more highly. Thank you, Franchesco and family, for such a memorable day!

This tour was absolutely amazing. Walking through the historic olive groves in Balestrate and learning about the production from such a passionate local family was incredibly special. The tasting was fantastic. We loved the incredible olive oil, local wines, and traditional foods prepared by the family, as well as the balsamic vinegar and homemade limoncello. It felt so authentic and welcoming. If you are anywhere near Palermo, you absolutely have to book this!
