had fun, covered many places in one go! a must as soon as you are in baku
We had a very valuable and informative trip with Professor Nurşen, I recommend it to everyone coming to Azerbaijan, we were very pleased, thank you very much Professor Nurşen.
We had a wonderful tour guided by Ms. Nurşan. Despite the bad weather conditions, we completed the entire tour route without any problems. Transportation and guiding were excellent. We would like to thank the entire team for their friendly service and attentiveness.
We had Reza as guide. It was great to have him, as the way he explained was extensive and very passionate. His English is the best I've had with a guide from a non-english speaking country. The tour was a good start to grasp Azerbaïdjan's history and to see nice places around Baku. I would recommend it to anyone coming for the first time, as we did.
I must thank Reza, he’s a knowledgable guide, impressively speaks many languages, and ensured we stayed on time. The tour started promptly at the arranged pickup time. All the destinations were provided with information which was great. The tour started at pickup at 8:40am, lunch at 3pm, and tour ended at 5:30pm, and you see a lot, plus driving time to relax between destinations. I thought there was more flames at Yanardag, a lot of the flames are gone, but still a good photo. Also, so many great places for photos at the Heydar Aliyev Center, I wish we had more time at this location, so we’re making a second visit. I’m thankful I was able to see all the sites I planned to see in one tour.
We had a very enjoyable trip with guide Reza, who gave us extensive information not only about the sites we visited but also about Azerbaijan in general. I am very grateful for this trip, everything was organised on high level. Thank you very much.
Visits to the historical sites around Baku have been postponed for a long time, and the opportunity to do so has finally arisen. Thank you guide Rza, it was very interesting to learn so much about Azerbaijan, thank you and the members of our tour for such a fun, immersive trip.
If you are looking for a comprehensive way to see the best of Azerbaijan, the Baku Gobustan and Absheron Tour is an absolute must. From the ancient petroglyphs to the modern marvels of the city, the itinerary is perfectly balanced. However, what truly made this experience world-class was our guide, Reza. A Master Storyteller Reza is remarkably knowledgeable. Instead of just reciting dates and names, he brought the history of every site to life. Whether we were exploring the mud volcanoes or the Fire Temple, he provided deep context that made every moment fascinating. He has a natural gift for pacing—there was never a dull moment or a "boring" stretch during the entire day. Professional and Inclusive One of the most impressive things about Reza was his ability to manage a diverse group. He provided explanations in both English and Russian, transitioning between the two seamlessly so that no one felt left out. He was constantly checking in to ensure everyone "remained on the same page," making sure the group stayed together and understood the significance of what we were seeing. A Genuine, Friendly Host What sets Reza apart from many other guides is his personality. He is an incredibly friendly and genuine person. While many tours can feel transactional—with guides primarily focused on collecting ticket money or rushing to the next stop—Reza wasn't like that at all. His priority was clearly our experience and comfort rather than just the logistics. Final Verdict: This tour offers incredible value, but it’s the quality of the guiding that makes it a 5-star experience. If you get the chance to tour with Reza, you are in for a treat. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to truly understand the heart of Azerbaijan!
Hello! We took this tour in Baku. Our guide was Reza. He did amazing job. Explained and tell history, information about the places very well, in 2 languages: Russian, English. Everything was well organized and on time. It started about at 9 am and ended at 17 pm.
Unforgettable immersion into Azerbaijani culture If you are planning a trip to Baku and want to see the city and its surroundings through the eyes of locals rather than just from a bus window, I sincerely recommend SkyUp Travel. From the very moment of booking, you feel a genuine sense of care. The guides Riza don't just recite facts from a history book; they share living stories, legends, and traditions. It feels like you are walking with an old friend who is truly in love with their homeland. The itinerary for the Absheron region is very well-designed. We managed to see the burning Yanar Dag mountain and the Ateshgah Fire Temple without ever feeling rushed. The locations are chosen so that the scenery is constantly changing, from the futuristic views of Baku to the ancient petroglyphs of Gobustan. The transport is clean and modern, and the timing is followed to the minute. Sometimes it takes very little to feel welcome in a foreign country—a guide’s sincere smile, a helpful tip on where to find the best tea, or a willingness to take a great photo against the backdrop of the Caspian. You will find all of that here in abundance. This was one of the highlights of my vacation. Azerbaijan won me over with its hospitality, and much of that is thanks to the SkyUp team.
