Vivi questo fantastico tour di 3,5 ore in cui imparerai il ciclo di vita delle tartarughe marine, le caratteristiche delle diverse tartarughe che visitano questa parte del Messico, il tempo di incubazione, il tasso di sopravvivenza e tutte le difficoltà che queste piccole creature devono affrontare dal momento in cui nascono e corrono verso l'oceano e fino al momento in cui tornano in spiaggia molti anni dopo per deporre le uova. Per facilitare la comprensione useremo una tabella per spiegare le differenze dei 4 diversi tipi di tartarughe che visitano il Messico. Questo servizio include il trasporto di andata e ritorno dalla hall del tuo hotel a Ixtapa o Zihuatanejo alla fattoria delle tartarughe, una guida turistica informativa e l'opportunità di vedere come le piccole tartarughe marine camminano verso l'oceano e nuotano attraverso le grandi onde. Dopo la fattoria delle tartarughe avrai l'opportunità di assaggiare un amaretto di cocco fresco prodotto localmente.

Attraverseremo la città per raggiungere la comunità rurale di Juluchuca, famosa per la produzione di macarons al cocco e con la spiaggia più lunga e appartata che la rende il posto migliore dove le mamme tartarughe possono venire a deporre le uova lontano dal rumore delle le città turistiche.
Nella spiaggia di Juluchuca ti spiegheremo il ciclo di vita delle tartarughe marine e ti diremo le caratteristiche dei 3 diversi tipi di tartarughe marine che vengono a deporre le uova in questa parte del Messico, menzioneremo anche i diversi predatori che le uccidono prima arrivano all'oceano e anche una volta che sono nell'oceano. Dopo una spiegazione di 20 minuti selezioneremo un nido che è stato trovato il giorno prima, rimuoveremo con cura un po' di sabbia e vi mostreremo una delle uova, poi copriremo il nido. Dopodiché selezioneremo il nido che si sta schiudendo e assisterai a come le tartarughe risalgono in superficie. Tutte le tartarughe verranno messe in un piccolo contenitore. Le tartarughe rimarranno per circa 10-20 minuti nel contenitore, finché non saranno attive e pronte a partire. Dopo li porteremo sulla sabbia bagnata a circa 25 piedi dall'oceano e non appena saranno messi nella sabbia bagnata correranno verso l'oceano. Aspetteremo che arrivino tutti all'oceano.

We absolutely loved this turtle release tour. Luis taught us about the different kinds of turtles, then we each took five babies from the nest and got to interact with them until they were alert enough to be released into the ocean. One of my highlights from the week!
My husband and I and our 3 kids (13,11,8) did the sea turtle experience with Luis. He is so kind, knowledgeable, and fun! We all learned a lot, and getting to be hands-on with the baby turtles was really incredible. It was so great that we booked the snorkel tour with him for a few days later which was ALSO amazing! He drove us to the water taxi and we went across to Isla Ixtapa which was gorgeous, did some snorkeling and he showed us all kinds of beautiful fish, then we spent the day eating, drinking, and playing on the beach. Finally, he is giving us the best price for a van to the airport. We cannot recommend Luis enough!!
Our guide was phenomenal! Incredibly knowledgeable! Was fluent in English! Funny! Everything in a personality needed to have a good time! There was even surprise adventure. The men of the baby turtle sanctuary were so sweet and caring. And the absolute best were the baby sea turtles and the experience of getting to watch them start their sea lives! 10/10 recommend for those looking for ADVENTURE!
Very informative. They take pride in helping the turtles. Being able to release the turtles was amazing. I would suggest July through August as it is in the middle to the end of hatching season.

Really great experience, the beach was beautiful. These guys are doing such important work. The bonus was the ATV ride and coconut treats.
An absolutely life long memorable event. The drive to the sanctuary was educational, thanks to Pablo's knowledge of the area. The excursion to the ocean site where the baby sea turtle sanctuary is located was a lot fun riding on the ATV's thru coconut groves. The short class on the different sea turtle that lay their eggs on this 14 km strip of beach was very informative. We can not say enough positive things about the entire experience. Will definitely be returning with friends and family to share the truly moving experience of nature.
We booked and paid for three adults to go on a tour on February 23. My husband became ill and I advised the tour operator, more than 24 hours in advance and in accordance with its cancellation policy. February 22 was the same day the madness in P.V. occurred and the remaining two in our party were uncomfortable travelling outside the city. The operator has refused to refund any of the fees, including the one that was cancelled more than 24 hours in advance of the tour. My advice: DO NOT pay in advance. It has been a miserable experience.
Luis took our family on an amazing trip to learn about several species of sea turtles, their life cycles, and their what is being done to help save/protect them. The two men that run the rescue were so kind and you could tell they loved being a part of saving the turtles. They truly care. Luis was an excellent guide and translated everything so we understood the whole process. He is kind and very informative from the moment he picked us up at our hotel to the moment he dropped us off at the end of the tour. He was so helpful. We definitely recommend this tour with Luis!
The baby sea turtle release was amazing! We learned a lot about the turtles from the two gentlemen who run the turtle rescue, then were so amazed with the hands on experience getting to hold and release the baby turtles into the ocean. These men do so much to help improve the turtle population. They are so dedicated to the cause and do it for the love of the turtles. Luis was a great tour guide! He was so friendly, translated the entire turtle presentation, and gave us so much information on the drive to and from the turtle rescue area. His English is excellent which made the experience better as we fully understood everything. I would definitely recommend this activity. My family really enjoyed it and it was even better with Luis!
