Itinerario
La nostra prima tappa ci porta agli incredibili campi di lava di Berserkjahraun. Queste rocce frastagliate provengono da un vecchio vulcano e sembrano qualcosa di un altro mondo. Vedrai quanto sono potenti i vulcani in Islanda.
Successivamente, visiteremo il famoso Monte Kirkjufell, la montagna più fotografata d'Islanda! Vedrai la sua forma unica e le bellissime cascate Kirkjufellsfoss proprio di fronte ad essa. E' un posto perfetto per scattare foto.
Attraverseremo lo splendido Parco Nazionale di Snæfellsjökull, un'area naturale protetta che circonda il maestoso ghiacciaio di Snæfellsjökull. In una giornata limpida, si può anche vedere questo ghiacciaio da Reykjavik! Godetevi il paesaggio mozzafiato mentre viaggiamo attraverso questo straordinario parco nazionale.
Preparati per la splendida spiaggia di sabbia nera di Djúpalónssandur. Camminerai lungo i ciottoli neri e vedrai pezzi di vecchi relitti sparsi sulla sabbia. Ci sono anche alcune vecchie pietre di sollevamento qui - una sfida divertente se ti senti forte!
Vedremo le impressionanti scogliere basaltiche di Lóndrangar, due enormi formazioni rocciose che si innalzano dal mare. Sono tutto ciò che rimane di un vecchio vulcano e ospitano molti uccelli, offrendo una vista mozzafiato sulla costa.
Visiteremo l'affascinante villaggio di Arnarstapi, un luogo pittoresco con montagne alle spalle e scogliere in riva al mare. Un tempo era un affollato villaggio di pescatori, e si può ancora sentire la sua storia. Godetevi una passeggiata lungo le scogliere e magari avvistate qualche uccello marino. Il ponte Arnarstapi è un famoso spot fotografico.
Faremo una sosta alla bellissima Chiesa Nera di Búðir. Questa suggestiva chiesa in legno si erge da sola in un vasto campo di lava, creando un meraviglioso contrasto nel paesaggio – una perfetta opportunità fotografica!
La nostra ultima tappa sulla penisola è Ytri Tunga Beach. Questa spiaggia di sabbia dorata è un ottimo posto per vedere le foche! Tieni d'occhio queste creature giocose che si crogiolano sugli scogli vicino alla riva.

The tour route was really beautiful and the tour guide answered too all of our questions
Our family had a great time on this trip, during our first full day in Iceland. The pickup/dropoff was seamless and they had proactively reached out to see if my child needed a car seat. Gianni was our guide and his knowledge of geology added so much as we saw all these beautiful and amazing sites. My favorites were the black sand beach and the seals. Gianni also pointed out an orca (bonus animal) and two rainbows. There were a lot of sites and we were always kept apprised of the best times/places to eat and use the facilities. Would absolutely recommend.
Beautiful scenery, very informative and friendly guide, friendly and helpful driver. Its a long day but very worth it.

It has been a great experience. We were looking for Spanish-speaking guides and we had the best, Erik and Sofia. Attentive, knowledgeable about every corner, anecdotes, lifestyle, the best way to get to know the country. We saw cliffs, waterfalls, beaches, seals, a black church, everything was stunning. My youngest daughter was delighted.

It’s a long day, with quite a bit of driving, but also well worth it. Unless you rent a car, I don’t think you will ever see the natural wonders that are on this tour. Plus we saw the attic tern, a couple of puffins and seals
So many magnificent things to see! Waterfalls, glaciers, volcanoes, black beach, etc. The Nordur Travel group was great to work with. They answered emails and questions and even adjusted our pick-up point for the day trip. The guide was knowledgeable and had Icelandic stories and customs to share. We are so glad we went!
