Il titolo "La nuova mecca dei graffiti", che il guardiano inglese ha attribuito ad Atene, non è altro che casuale. Atene ora occupa un posto di rilievo tra i più famosi per le loro città d'arte di strada. Goditi una passeggiata privata di 4 ore intorno ad Atene e scopri, ammira e fotografa la sua scena di Street Art mentre è stata modellata attraverso le opere di famosi artisti di strada come WD, iNO e Moralez. Sfoglia alcuni dei quartieri più famosi di Atene come Psyrri ed Exarchia e scopri il loro carattere unico attraverso i murales, gli stampini e i graffi che li decorano.

Itinerario
Dopo l'incontro con un membro del team Be a Greek fuori dalla stazione della metropolitana Panepistimio, ti godrai un tour a piedi di 4 ore nei quartieri più alternativi e autentici di Atene, durante il quale avrai l'opportunità di conoscere l'Athenian Street Art scena.
Inizieremo da Exarchia, un quartiere noto per la sua aura artistica e studentesca. Artisti di strada esclusivi come WD, STMTS, Sonke e iNO hanno dato un tocco speciale al paesaggio urbano, evidenziando questo quartiere e rendendolo famoso in tutto il mondo. Ad Exarchia avremo anche l'opportunità di rilassarci sorseggiando un caffè in un bar locale, decorato con graffiti anamorfici unici.
Continuando ci troveremo a Psyrri, scoprendo sia il suo carattere turistico che alternativo, mentre ammiriamo alcune delle opere d'arte più famose e belle come il famoso cane Loukanikos (salsiccia in greco), che testimoniano la situazione socio-politica di il nostro Paese. In questa parte della passeggiata avremo l'opportunità di parlare, tra le altre cose, del fantastico artista Achille e di conoscere alcune delle sue opere uniche.
Lasciando alle spalle Psyrri, passeremo dall'area pedonale di Kerameikos, ammirando il contrasto tra le antiche mostre di Kerameikos e le opere d'arte contemporanea della zona. Dopo pochi minuti raggiungeremo uno dei momenti salienti del nostro Tour, gli enormi murales DaVinci creati dalle mani di iNO, senza dubbio uno squisito esempio della Street Art ateniese. Arrivando alla stazione della metropolitana Kerameikos il nostro tour finirà, dopo aver trascorso una giornata piena di foto e un'esperienza straordinaria.

Bianca is top notch! Professional, knowledgeable, knows her way around the various neighborhoods, spoke about art, culture, philosophy, mythology, religion; she is a walking encyclopedia. Details , insight, depth, for those seeking to truly Be a Greek. I am Greek and I learned more about my city historically and in present times than I could have known if I had read one hundred books. Within the “art walk” she gives you the meat of what it means to be an Athenian, both in past history and recent history. We will never forget her knowledge and passion for her work, and we will definitely keep in touch so that we can utilize her services again. Bianca is worth five times her weight in gold! Bianca gave an amazing tour of Athens and its vibrant street art. We saw some very interesting and evocative art produced by a collection of passionate artists. The tour was enhanced by Bianca’s knowledge of how local social and political issues drove much of the art. She was also friendly, upbeat and spoke fluent English.

It felt like we got a behind the scene tour of Athens! Without this tour we feel that we would have left Athens not truly understating the full and true landscape and culture of Athens. It would be near impossible to truly understand and appreciate the amazing street art of Athens without the spectacular storytelling from Bianca. This tour was the icing on the cake of our trip to Athens. It’s a must do!
Bianca from "Be a Greek" is truly the best guide you can imagine for the graffitti / street art tour. She is really passionate about the subject and can teach you all about the artists and artworks. In addition, she was very good at telling about the recent history of Athens and relating events related to the districts of Exarchia and Psyrri. The tour is 150% recommended and I would book another tour with Bianca at any time.
I was looking to see some special after visiting the classic Athenian sites. This walking tour was outstanding. As a photographer, I knew this tour would give me great opportunities but it was much more than that. Bianca was my guide and was exceptionally well versed in this subject. She had a deep understanding of who the artists are and what the artists are trying to convey. Bianca made this tour very special for me. If you want to see another side of Athens, I would encourage you to take this tour.

My husband and I had a most interesting day walking and talking w/ our guide Antonis. We saw fabulous examples of the artists making mostly social commentary on what is happening in Greece today. We had discussions of what life is like in Greece and what are the social issues facing the Greeks. We enjoyed learning about the current day society and how history is still influencing it. If you want to know about Greece today go to where the people live and express themselves. A very well spent day!
