Il monastero di Roussanou, noto anche come Arsani, si erge sulla cima di un'imponente e ripida scogliera di Meteora, tra i monasteri di San Nicola Anapafsas e Varlaam.
Il Monastero di San Nicola di Anapafsas è letteralmente sospeso in aria su una piccola roccia ed è il primo monastero che incontriamo sulla strada dal villaggio di Kastraki alla foresta di pietra di Holy Meteora.
Il Monastero di Varlaam o Monastero di Tutti i Santi si trova su un'imponente roccia esattamente di fronte al Grande Meteoron ed è il secondo monastero più grande di Meteora.
Il Monastero della Santissima Trinità è il terzo monastero più antico di Meteora ed è il più difficile da raggiungere, poiché i visitatori dovrebbero attraversare un sentiero in discesa e poi salire 145 gradini scavati nella roccia. Si narra che i primi eremiti usassero una scala di corda e una rete per costruirla e impiegassero 70 anni per trasportare tutto il materiale necessario.
Il Monastero di Santo Stefano (Agios Stefanos) si trova appena sopra la città di Kalambaka ed è il monastero più accessibile di Meteora, poiché non ci sono gradini per raggiungere l'ingresso e l'accesso è facile attraverso un piccolo ponte di pietra.
Il Monastero della Grande Meteora o Trasfigurazione di Cristo, esprime la grandezza e la storia della Santa Meteora, in quanto è il monastero più antico e importante.
In serata, ripartiremo per il viaggio di ritorno ad Atene, dove il tuo arrivo è previsto verso le 22:15.

We loved this day trip. The coach ride was quite long but very comfortable and it does stop halfway for a bathroom break. The lunch was really amazing: a buffet of really good food including my favourite Moussaka. The guide Maria was wonderful. The monasteries are very beautiful and well worth the visit. Highly recommended.

Departed from Athens at 8.00, reached the first Monastery at 13.45, left Meteora at 18.00 and reached Athens at 22.15. Nicolas was a very nice and welcoming guide. Lunch was served hot, even got dessert, transport was air conditioned. We stopped along the way at some viewpoints for pictures.

George our bus driver was awesome. He explained when we will stop for a break. Told us the password to connect. Maria , our tour guide. Was the best. Very informative. And she spoke clearly and loudly so we could understand her. Lunch was delicious. Great day. I'd reqiest both George and Maria again. And I'd choose same restaraunt. I give this a 10.

Amazing Tour! Absolutely worth the day trip from Athens. My only complaint was that we could have had longer at the Monastery with the nuns.

Despite being a very long day, it was an excellent experience. Maria was a fantastic guide. She managed the group very well. Her knowledge is great and is clearly very experienced. Lunch was average, but also did not cost a lot of money. Our driver, Nicos, also deserves a mention. This trip is recommended.

I participated worryingly whether I was with my 7-year-old or 4-year-old, and as a result I really enjoyed it. The long journey was comfortable with wifi and a coach bus with power, and the sightseeing was a reasonable time allocation, although the stairs were tough.
