Picked the private option on this tour. Loved all the stops that were included. Covers all the major attractions in Athens. We were teamed up with Nick who did an amazing job as our guide. Super knowledgeable and did a fantastic job giving us the history of the city and country. Private tours are a little more money but well worth it! Did the extended tour to the Temple of Poseidon, the drive along the coast was unbelievable with a nice lunch along the way on the water. Highly recommended tour 👍
Thank you so much for the 5stars review
We booked this private Viator tour for my wife, our two friends, and me, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Greece. If you’re considering this tour, ask for Kostas—you won’t regret it. Kostas was waiting for us at our hotel right on time and made us feel welcome from the moment we met him. He was the perfect combination of professional, knowledgeable, funny, and personable, sharing the history of Athens in a way that kept everyone engaged. He thought of everything. He arranged our Acropolis tickets ahead of time (just let him know about a week before your tour), saving us valuable time. He knew the exact spot to stand for the Changing of the Guard ceremony, giving us an incredible view while others crowded around trying to see. Throughout the day, he never rushed us. He gave us plenty of time to explore each stop on our own and even stayed out later than scheduled because we were enjoying ourselves so much. We never felt like we were watching the clock. One of our favorite unexpected moments was when he stopped so we could walk into the water and enjoy the Aegean Sea—such a simple but thoughtful touch that made the day even more special. Lunch was excellent at a beautiful outdoor restaurant, and with the gorgeous weather, it couldn’t have been better. Most importantly, Kostas made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the day. His knowledge of Athens, attention to detail, and genuine desire to make sure we had a great experience really stood out. And if you’re lucky…you might even end up singing karaoke with Kostas on the drive! 🎤 It was the perfect ending to a fantastic day and speaks to how fun and personable he is. If you’re visiting Athens, I highly recommend this tour, and if possible, request Kostas as your driver and guide. He truly made our visit unforgettable. Five stars aren’t enough!

Thank you so much 💓 Greetings from Kostas
We had a fabulous 2 days with Kostas as our guide and driver. Kostas is knowledgeable, helpful and kind. He has a wealth of knowledge. The sunset trip to Poseidon Temple was spectacular and a must see. The acropolis is outstanding and the changing of the guard at the president's office is otherworldly. The kebab restaurant Kostas recommended was fabulous, food delicious and so reasonably priced. It was a pleasure dealing with Kostas. Thanks for everything.

We had the best time with Kostas. He took us to many popular sights in Athens, including The Temple of Poseidon. Kostas was very knowledgeable, friendly, kind and tons of fun. His main goal was that we would have an enjoyable day and we sure did! It was a highlight of our trip to Athens! This was the third time I used Great Greek Tours while visiting Athens. I highly recommend Kostas as your driver/guide when you visit Athens.
