The most disappointing thing about this tour was the non-visit to the Acropolis. We pre-paid out tickets and waited in line for our 1:00 pm entrance time. We were shocked to find out that the tour operator gave us expired tickets for 11:00 am . We weren’t the only ones that were affected. Some people had 8:00 am entrance times. We waited for over an hour for them to fix the problem but it wasn’t since we had to be back on the tour bus for 2:45 pm. I’m still waiting for a refund for Viator ..makes no sense to me how one person in the group got their refund right away and we are still waiting hours later. I definitely would not recommend the is tour. Waste of one of our port days.

Basically this was not a guided tour. It was an expensive transport from the cruise ship to the Acropolis. A taxi would have been much cheaper. It’s advertised to have an audio guide. Never was it mentioned that I would need WiFi or cell service to download it neither of which I had once I was off the ship. The QR code with link to the download was only sent after I arrived at the bus. So I was unable to download the audio guide. I feel it should have been sent as soon as the trip was paid for. My husband and I were very disappointed. The “tour guide” told me I could use his hot spot which I did but the audio guide was only 4% downloaded when he walked away never to be seen again until 3 hours later. I would not recommend this particular tour to anyone. I would rather have paid more to have a private tour.

Very good attractions but too much time at some. The Acropolis was fantastic, we were left on our own, would have been better with guide.

George was an excellent tour guide—kind, patient, and always available whenever we needed him. He genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. While George was wonderful, the tour itself did not fully meet our expectations. We were disappointed that we did not have a guide accompanying us through the Acropolis ruins. Instead, we relied on an audio guide via QR code, which was difficult to use at times, possibly due to connectivity issues in the area. Combined with the extreme heat wave, it made that part of the visit more challenging than expected. That said, Athens is beautiful. We loved exploring the old city, took many wonderful photos, and truly appreciated George’s professionalism, warmth, and support throughout the day. He is an outstanding guide.

George was great!! Wonderful experience. My family really enjoyed. Super hot day though but once in a lifetime experience.

Excellent trip. Good communication before we were picked up at the cruise port. Great commentary on the way to the acropolis. Plenty of time to explore, no queueing to get into the acropolis. We were given the opportunity to stay longer with free HOHO bus tickets, but we chose just to get dropped back at the ship. Recommended.

Although the tour guide and company were very communicative and informative, the tour was limited. We stopped at the government building to see the officially dressed guards. It was lame. (Please know that unless you are on crutches or in a wheelchair, you cannot use the elevator and will have a lot of stair climbing to do. It is a hike up. The Greek government is not good about caring for the tourist sites. Staff are tired and frustrated and they messed up our entry for the group which meant we waited in the heat extra long. Restrooms are minimal and usually run down with no TP. No water fountains either). We then drove to the Acropolis for entry. We do appreciate the tour guide and bus driver, however it would have been preferable to have dropped the government building and call this a transfer to the Acropolis with time to see Plaka at the base.

The bus is nice, our tour guide gave us some history of the town. Stopped once to see the changing of the guards and then to the acropolis. For the price it was a nice tour for cruisers as it provided transportation for the port, but not too much more than transport.

Would not recommend!!!!! Could not find tour at Terminal B . I finally found the company , didn’t realize from viator ad it was a hop on hop off bus. They scanned my QR code and gave receipt but didn’t get us tickets into acropolis. The headphones didn’t work going to Acropolis , very staticy. We paid for tickets into acropolis , and were given NO information. It was not what we were expecting at all. The workers at acropolis were more helpful than bus company. I called twice about needing prepaid passes for entrance into acropolis and we were hung up on twice. Poor communication.

Great tour through the city. Guide was a great communicator and very knowledgeable. Acropolis was amazing. Bring water because it’s very hot in the sun.
