DAN!!! If you can pick one tour guide, pick Dan!! He made the entire JFK experience thrilling and exciting! He has 30+ years of history under his belt but his charismatic energetic personality stole the tour! Waiting on the bus, he gave us a brief history lesson with pictures on his iPad. During the tour, he made sure we got the full experience by physically showing us and explaining in great detail everything related to JFK such as the assassination spot, the snipers nest, the grassy knoll, Oswald’s rental house, and the officer that was slain by Oswald, etc. Fantastic tour!! The bus driver was extremely sweet and offered us candy and bottled water. Together, they make an excellent team! Do yourself a favor and take this tour!!
Super interesting, lots of information. Make sure to include the 6th floor museum as it really takes you back to the early 60s to understand the climate of the day.
Our tour guide was Preston. When I arrived, he was frantically walking around with bags of ice. When he finally came back, I asked if he was Preston and told him I needed to check in. He said, "get on the bus." I did, and he followed. His attitude was unacceptable, no matter what he was dealing with that morning. The rest of the tour went smoothly and he clearly knew his stuff. But I have never been talked to that way by a tour guide. Second problem: about 90% of the tour was on the bus. That part was nice, given the distance between sites and the Dallas heat. But the A/C barely worked. We mentioned it to him at one of the stops. He said something like, "the bus has two temperatures, refrigerator and oven. I'll cool it down when we get back." He never did. I'd like to think I just picked the one bad day this year. But I would not book another tour with Fun Dallas Tours.
