Super informative “historian” tour guide & tasty local bites

Milton was an incredibly informative & kind tour guide! He took extra time with us to share every Aruban fun fact alongside ensuring we enjoyed the local tasty bites- across 4 local favorites including savory fish stew, fish bites & crispy plantain, ceviche, pulled seasoned beef and bread pudding with liquor icing. Thanks Milton & Aruba good walking tour!

Dushi! (Very delicious:)

Marco was amazing and very knowledgeable of Aruba! We had so much fun with him and the small group we were with! Places he took us to were delicious and so were the drinks, you do get to try dessert on your last stop too:) If staying at the Renaissance Wind Creek- Marina(adults resort) it’s literally a 2 minute walk around the corner for the meeting spot. Would definitely book again:)

A New Experience For Long-Time Visitors

This was our 8th trip to Aruba and we were still able to find something new to do. Our guide Evie provided historical background as we walked to the different restaurants. Of the 4 we visited, we had only eaten at 1 during prior visits. The food was decent - after 3 tapas/appetizers and a dessert, we were full. We weren't expecting the full size drinks, including the island signature Aruba Ariba and a mojito. All the dishes were fish-based. This is a good tour to see some of the sights of Orangestad, learn a little of the history of the island, and maybe find a new restaurant to try.

Great experience with Milton!

Milton was great! We had a lot of fun with him and learned a lot. One of us had food allergies and we let him know they would be fine skipping but he made sure that every restaurant accommodated them which was so kind. We highly recommend this tour with him!

Ms. Evey had a wealth of...

Ms. Evey had a wealth of knowledge. Each food and liquor tour offers a unique experience. Unfortunately, there wasn't much alcohol, but the food was excellent. We walked through the business district of Aruba and learned about its history through the food, so it became a history lesson too. Be sure to wear your walking shoes.

This is a walking tour...

This is a walking tour through a small section of Oranjestad. The walk is easy, nothing too difficult, but wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility issues. The food was hit or miss. Our first stop had a fish soup that was amazing. It came with funchi. Second stop was fried funchi and fish balls. Fried funchi was good (plain, but that's how it's meant to be) and the fish balls were only okay. The fish tasted like canned salmon or tuna. Third stop was a grouper ceviche and a meat dish over what seemed like polenta (meaning every plate we had was served with some sort of cornmeal based element). I don't even know what the meat dish was called. Last stop was a very good bread pudding. Our tour guide Marco was knowledgeable enough, but dry. It's a group dining experience, so I kind of expected him to encourage conversation among the guests, but we were left to our own devices. Also, there was almost no discussion of the history of the food or its impact on the region or local importance. Lastly, it was just a little awkward at times. There were several times that everyone is sitting around the table silent, looking to our guide to move us to the next spot or encourage conversation among the guests. If you didn't finish everything on your plate, you were questioned about why. We're trying to be polite, so who wants to sit there telling everyone why a dish isn't to your taste. I recognize it's good bread pudding, but I don't like bread pudding so I'm not going to eat all of it. At the end of the tour another guest had to ask where the different dishes we tried had come from. We got barely any description. For the lovely walk, and getting to try different foods, it was worth the price. But I didn't find it to be as enriching and fun as I'd hoped.
