We had a great tour with our tour guide Rasta. He was informative, knowledgeable, good energy and friendly. Our driver was good too, got us to each location safely. I would do another tour with them.
The hike through the rainforest was amazing, we loved our guide, Melanie. She spoke English well and spotted many animals that we would have never seen. The volcano hike was good but not as exciting. The lunch was also good. The hot springs were full of kids and it was raining so we skipped them.
The views were amazing and the tour guide, Chris, was always on the lookout for different animals such as lizards, spiders, frogs, toads, and snakes. We are a family of four (12 year old and 15 year old) and this was great. The Arenal Volcano hike was super cool. We found lava crystals and small lava stones. The buffet lunch was delicious. The hot springs were the best way to end the day. The grounds were well kept and plenty of pools to choose from. If you’re coming to La Fortuna I highly recommend this tour. You won’t regret it.
We had such an amazing experience! We were picked up from our hostel right on time, which made everything super easy. Our guide, Rasta, was honestly amazing—he pointed out so much wildlife, including frogs, snakes and even a sloth! Even though we were a bit unlucky with the weather, he made sure we still had the best time by spending extra time looking for animals that were hiding because of the rain. He also took loads of photos for everyone in the group, both of us walking across the hanging bridges and some really cool close-up shots through the telescope. He was so knowledgeable about the rainforest and all of its biodiversity, and you could tell he was really passionate about it. The lunch afterwards was a really nice added bonus too and was really tasty. We’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting La Fortuna!
The tour was great and the weather was good also, if you looking for an easy hands off tour this is one of the best
Bring comfortable shoes and panchos are a must! The staff are very customer service oriented. The tour has beautiful footage/views with the staff providing an information narrative regarding both plant and animal/insect/reptile encounters.
In a single day you can visit the most important things of La Fortuna if you do not have much time, our guide William explained everything, you can see that he knows the subject. It was the greatest thing about our visit to Costa Rica, living with nature.
They took us to a crowded park, our guide kept repeating himself along the day with difficulties to speak English. The pace of the day was too slow. The hot springs were fully artificial. The lunch was along a noisy road but the food was decent. Overall average and overpriced.
Taking a tour was a great idea. Or maybe we lucked out on having a great guide - Andres Guiterrez. The tour was a walk through the Mistico hanging bridges park and arenal volcano hike tour followed by hot springs. Andres was very well informed in the local flora and fauna, talked to us about the symbiosis, lot of information on the lifecycle plus having the HD binoculars, he spotted two species of monkeys, spiders and tarantulas, two types of snakes, birds and grid and a lizard in action of scaring its predator. The rain forest is beautiful, the Arenal Volcano is majestic, and the hot springs were amazing and the lunch was good. My wife had a corn on her foot that started hurting and Andres gave her first aid. He was very patient with each member of the group. Did not rush us through the tour - actually the tour took an additional hour . Overall a great tour and definitely the best guide of all the places in the world I have visited. He is on my WhatsApp now so I can meet up with him when I visit again. Very reasonably priced and picked me up from my Airbnb and dropped off.
The tour was great and Rasta was awesome describing the history and finding animals, etc. Very informative. In the beginning they appeared to arrive late, but was more of a misunderstanding that would have been solved by a simple text explaining they needed us to be at road to be picked up since bus was unable to meet us at the lobby, but Rasta came down and got us. Be ready for a lot of walking both up and down steep walkways so wear comfortable shoes. The authentic Costa Rican lunch was great. Overall experience was great.
