Ordinato dal cardinale de Richelieu nel 1633, il palazzo fu costruito vicino al Louvre, all'epoca residenza reale, per consentire a questo influente ministro di rimanere vicino al re. Nel cuore di Parigi, a pochi passi dal Museo del Louvre e nascosto in mezzo agli edifici governativi e culturali Consiglio Costituzionale, Ministero della Cultura e della Comunicazione, Comédie-Française, Theatre du Palais Royal si trova il sontuoso Jardin du Palais Royal
Parleremo di Molière il famoso scrittore, le sue opere sono state tradotte in tutte le principali lingue viventi e vengono rappresentate alla Comédie-Française più spesso di quelle di qualsiasi altro drammaturgo. Un riferimento unico e assoluto in Francia, la troupe della Comédie- Française è la più antica compagnia teatrale attiva al mondo.
La strada lunga 1.840 metri (6.036 piedi) che collega il cuore di Parigi al prestigioso 8° arrondissement è nota per il suo lato trendy. Siti culturali, storici e gioielli artistici si trovano passeggiando lungo la rue Saint-Honoré. Le facciate in stile Haussmann degli edifici in pietra fanno da sfondo a boutique chic che costeggiano il vostro cammino giorno e notte per un'incantevole passeggiata nel calore della “città delle luci”.
Con i suoi 126 metri di lunghezza e la sua pianta ispirata a quella di Notre-Dame-de-Paris, la Chiesa di Saint-Roch è una delle più grandi di Parigi. Naturalmente, poiché la costruzione della Chiesa di Saint-Roch ha richiesto molti decenni, si mescolano diversi stili architettonici, come lo stile classico e quello barocco.
La piazza fu allestita nel 1702 come monumento alla gloria degli eserciti di Luigi XIV, il Re Sole. Successivamente fu sostituita dalla Colonna Vendôme, modellata sulla Colonna Traiana a Roma, per celebrare la vittoria di Napoleone Bonaparte ad Austerlitz nel 1805. Oggi è ben nota per le boutique di lusso (gioiellerie).
L'affascinante Opera Garnier fu commissionata dall'imperatore Napoleone III come parte del suo progetto di ricostruzione di Parigi. Per costruire il nuovo Teatro dell'Opera di Parigi, nel 1860 fu indetto un concorso per il miglior progetto. Il Teatro dell'Opera di Parigi, un altro nome dell'Opéra Garnier, è stato per lungo tempo un centro di eccellenza culturale. Ospita numerose opere e balletti di alto profilo.
