Avoid this tour…It is a total sham!

Avoid this tour…It is a total sham! Looked legitimate on the Viator site, so booked in good faith. Had reminders sent by Viator on the upcoming dinner. Did not receive any advance communication from the tour operator, APTT. Pick up from the hotel was scheduled for 6 PM, but no-one arrived. I messaged the tour company, received a welcome text, explained my issue but received no reply. So after waiting 40 mins decided to make my own way to the Aspara Dance theatre, but they had no record of my booking. I called the tour operator, who said I was at the wrong restaurant and that it was the Tonlesap restaurant. He made no apologies or explanation for not picking me up. So travelled to the other side of town to the Tonlesap restaurant to be told by them that there is no show! When I called the tour operator again, he made no apology for sending me to across town to a non-existent show but offered to book the show for the following day. But with my tight itinerary was not possible. So they basically ruined my night. They refunded the cost of the tickets, but made no apologies for ruining my night, or the transport costs incurred. They are a completely incompetent and fraudulent tour operator and I wonder why they are allowed to be on the Viator site!

Apsara show with buffet

Show and dinner were good but our hotel pick up never arrived so we had to catch a tuk tuk. On arrival they didn't have our booking and said they don't have online tickets. I agreed to pay since we were there but there system wasn't working. They said I could pay later and let us take a seat. Later they must have finally received a message from the tour company giving my name so I didn't need to pay. We then ended up walking back to our hotel after the show. I must say also unlike every other tour I have booked, I did not receive any communication from the company apart from the tickets via email. Other tours have sent a message the day or 2 prior to confirm date, time and place of pick up.

Dear Angela, Please apologize for something went wrong. We have book another place Amazon Angkor and the show start a bit 7:30pm. So driver pick you up a bit late. When driver get there you. Please apologize for haven’t email you advance. We paid 2 time to both restaurants and I will refund tuk tuk fee back to you. Very sorry for inconvenience Best regards Vithyea

I feel sorry for the Apsara dancers

I feel very sorry for the Apsara dancers at this venue. The stage backdrop is not beautiful, could improve so much with so little. The musician adds no entertainment value because they look disheveled with kids and family members hanging around and shoved into a corner. The crew members/restaurant employees allowed children to hang all around the stage climbing on stage at time. This was extremely annoying, we can barely enjoy the show. Many people left after eating, we almost left too. The show was only enjoyable once the children let. See photos of children. Didn’t get to take a photo of them climbing on stage because these children photos were only an afterthought because I’ve had enough. This venue do nothing for the dancers. The dancers were excellent, but the venue’s lack of care and attention made the whole experience not throughly enjoyable.

Dear Cathy, I'm so regret to hear you are not enjoyable, I have already inform to the restaurant to improve this and they said during that few days is the holiday for local tourist and they bring their families there so there are many kids that day.
