Questo tour, a cura di Due South Travels, è un tour guidato a piedi di 2 ore e più di Antigua, uno dei siti patrimonio dell'umanità dell'UNESCO. La nostra Guida locale vi darà tonnellate di grandi informazioni, tra cui la storia della città e la sua architettura, la geografia, la cultura e la religione del Guatemala storico e moderno. Durante il tour visiteremo e discuteremo i monumenti significativi di Antigua. Parleremo dei vulcani e dei terremoti che il Guatemala ha vissuto, delle etnie Maya, dell'invasione Spagnola e della vita moderna qui. Itinerario
Questo tour di Due South Travels percorrerà una tranquilla strada da Iglesia de la Merced, lungo la 5a Avenida, attraverso Central Park. Poi visiteremo le rovine della cattedrale e oltrepasseremo Tanque Union Park e termineremo alla Iglesia de San Francisco.

Architettura barocca. Punto di partenza davanti alla chiesa. Se vuoi entrare, indossa un abbigliamento conservativo che ti copra gomiti e ginocchia e togliti ogni cappello prima di entrare. (Non si può entrare durante una messa)
Scopri questo parco, la clinica medica, il pila e le rovine di Santa Clara.
Concluderemo qui con una visita alla chiesa e alla tomba di San Pedro. Se volete entrare in chiesa, indossate abiti conservativi, coperti fino ai gomiti e alle ginocchia, e toglietevi i cappelli. Non si può entrare mentre si svolge la messa.

Carlos was a great guide- it ended up just being two of us with him and we really enjoyed the private tour at our own pace. Carlos was very knowledgeable and personable and taught us a lot about the history of Antigua. He gave lots of recommendations and introduced us to the Jade museum. He went above and beyond- taking lots of pictures and videos of us with different sites. If I had known he was going to do a photo shoot I would have dressed cuter! Thanks Carlos!

It was fine. It was overpriced for what it was. We didn’t really see anything and our guide didn’t really teach us much and what he did say was hard for my partner to understand.

Really appreciated that Carlos waited a very long time for us to arrive as our bus from Puerto Quetzal was very delayed. We enjoyed the tour and the architectural details and context Carlos pointed out. Didn’t get to the old city or the cathedral ruins, but that might have been due to our time constraints. Great option to see many of the highlights and some sights we definitely would have missed without having a guide. Definitely recommend!

The tour guide was nice but she was injured and couldn’t walk much. We also had a difficult time hearing and understanding her at times. We hardly walked the city at all. She kept having us sit down after going only a short way. I am guessing because she needed to rest her bad knee. Considering this was a walking tour, I felt like it was a rip off. I think we could have learned and seen so much more on a different tour. I cannot recommend this one. But I wish the very best for our guide’s recovery from her injury.

We paid just a few dollars extra for the private tour, and it was well worth it. Our guide, Carlos, was super knowledgeable and personable. He told such interesting information and stories about Antigua, and he was very patient while we did a little shopping :).
