The tour was a full day from 8am to 5pm which was fine by us. Our guide Dali was trilingual, good and was pleasant to listen to. The schedule was not quite right though, as we did NOT visit the baths of Antonius (a pity), and we had a wonderful visit to the world famous Bardo Museum. Lunch was better than expected and included a nice lemon ice cream and coffee. Please do note that it was not necessary to spend nearly 1.5 hours in Bou Sidi. It was pretty enough but there was nothing to do really and some of the visitors who didn't want to walk up and down the slopy village were just sitting on a bench waiting. Overall, an enjoyable day..
What a fantastic day! Carthage is incredible and Sidi Bou Said is so gorgeous. Absolute highlight of my trip. Suitable for everyone - there were solo travellers, couples, and I think at least one family with a baby.
Unfortunately, this tour did not live up to expectations and left us with more concerns than highlights. The day started with a 4-hour round-trip bus journey (2 hours each way), with no toilet on board and no scheduled bathroom break. This made the ride quite uncomfortable, and it's an issue the tour company should seriously reconsider when planning such long excursions. Safety was another major concern. The driver frequently exceeded the speed limit and, alarmingly, used his mobile phone while driving. At one point, the bus was flagged down by armed, masked, and fully equipped tactical police who signaled the driver to slow down, a deeply unsettling moment that left many passengers on edge. The tour guide was clearly knowledgeable, but his commentary became repetitive and overly detailed. We even received a lecture on the meaning of Tunisian car license plates, which felt out of place and unnecessary. The included lunch was extremely poor, just four small cubes of chicken, some rice, and chopped vegetables. It lacked both quality and value. On a more positive note, we did enjoy visiting the Bardo Museum and the ancient city of Carthage, founded in 814 BC. These are historically significant sites, but unfortunately, the time allocated to explore them was far too short. Sidi Bou Said, the final stop, was underwhelming. While it looks nice in photos, in reality, it's overcrowded, filled with pushy street vendors, and quite noisy. It's worth a few pictures, but not much more. Overall, the tour has potential, but significant improvements are needed in terms of safety, comfort, scheduling, and overall value. Sadly, we would not recommend this experience in its current state.
This tour is advertised as a half-day but ended up being a full 10-hour trip – I left my hotel at 7:30am and didn’t return until 5:30pm. It also includes the Bardo Museum, which wasn’t made clear beforehand. The coach was full but only had English-speaking passengers, so the guide spoke solely in English, which made things quicker. We visited the Carthage ruins (interesting but not exceptional), then the city centre – crowded but worth a visit. At the Bardo Museum, the guide gave a brief overview and left us time to explore on our own. If you enjoy museums, you’ll likely appreciate this stop. Lunch was average – starter, main (rice, chicken curry, vegetables) and lemon sorbet for dessert. Soft drinks were extra, but water was included.
We were collected on time from our hotel and were taken to the Bardo Museum in Tunis which was very good - lots of mosaics and it had a lovely traditional cafe which was worth a visit. Afterwards, we were taken for a simple lunch at a restaurant in La Goulette. Carthage was very good although all in ruins; very interesting to see plus the views were very good. Sidi Bou Said is a very pretty little village - worth a visit - likened to Oia on Santorini.

It was good to get some free time at each location to do our own thing & walk around. I would have liked to see more of the Carthage sites as we only saw the Baths.

Let’s start with the cons . Sadly the lunch at I believe it was called Restaurant La Victoire (Razgalla) was very disappointing. None of the meal they served was appealing at all You weren’t given a choice just a waiter come in with a piece place on the table it was already pre ordered beforehand It would have been nicer if they gave you between two options we were just given whatever and the portion was very small and presentation of the food was not good at all , I ate mostly the bread placed on the table . Just dry baguette no butter , the table did not even have table salt and pepper. Another con was that , I think the tour guide catered more to those who spoke Dutch , I feel as though they got a better explanation, but overall I am impressed that his bilingual : Arabic , Dutch , English and French . Con No WiFi on board Pro USB port to charge your mobile phone Functioning air con The guy was quite knowledgeable and appeared friendly . I do think to properly visit those site like Sidi bou said inside admission if there’s anything you need a day alone to fully appreciate it . Slightly felt reached , but overall would recommend .
