No-show so sad. I was looking so forward to this kayaking tour. Call and text several times no answer or reply back.
We are so sorry that we did not see your last minute booking, all tours that weekend were canceled due to high winds. We have issued a refund for this tour, should you ever visit the area again please reach out to us directly for a special deal. Once again we apologize for our error.
My 14 yr old son and I booked this excursion for our annual mom/son trip over Spring Break and we had an amazing day! Sunny was our tour guide and she was a delight! She was full of information about our surroundings and even took several pictures of us with her camera to send to us. Having a guide was the absolute best experience. I was relaxed and didn’t have to worry about a thing. Everyone working with this company is so nice and wants their customers to have a great experience. I would definitely book this again!
This was my first time and i was terrified out of my mind but our lovely tour guide was very helpful and amazing. Very informative on the history and just all around loved the experience with her !
This tour was so fun! I felt like I gained a great knowledge of the history, as well as the kayaking aspect! Highly Recommend. Our tour guide was also amazing - so personable
This was a horrible experience. Do not purchase from High Desert Paddle company through Viator. My husband and I flew from Texas to LV, rented a car, drove to Page , AZ 4.5 hrs. Never received a phone call/text nor email and when we arrived we were told by other companies at the marina that High Desert Paddle was a no show and other arriving customers were told the same. We were told they no showed due to a storm, however, there was no storm and all other tour operators were operating. We followed all of the email instructions we had received, showed up and were greatly disappointed. When I called Viator customer service because High Desert Paddle did not answer, this was the”best” they could do “ We are currently reviewing the details of your booking and have shared the relevant information with the tour operator. If you have any additional documentation or details related to your request, please feel free to respond directly to this email so we can include it in our review process. We appreciate your patience as we work towards a resolution and will keep you updated along the way” Thankfully Dixie’s Lower Antelope was able to accommodate us for a lower Antelope tour but no kayaking.
We want to begin with a sincere apology. Your booking through Viator/TripAdvisor did not reach us in time, and because of that, we missed the chance to show up for you the way we should have. That responsibility is ours alone. We’ve since taken a deep look at our system, found where the disconnect happened, and made the necessary corrections so this doesn’t happen again. Your experience brought something important to light, and we are truly grateful you let us know. Still, we know that doesn’t give you back your time—or the experience you were looking forward to. Please know how deeply sorry we are for the inconvenience and frustration this caused. That’s never the energy we want tied to your time here. If you’re open to it, we would love the chance to welcome you back properly. Reach out to us directly, and we’ll offer you a special rate on any of our tours—an open invitation to experience the canyon the way it was meant to be. Thank you again for your patience, your understanding, and for helping us grow. With appreciation, High Desert Paddle Co.
