In my life I have a hall of fame of tourguides and recently I've added two to the list. Daniel was the latest to make a very prestigious list in my opinion. A person who is passionate about his home and topic. Check. A person who is entertaining engaging and informative. Check. A person who is genuine and authentic in wanting to make you feel that you were introduced to something important and want to know more. Check. Finally a person who looks at a tour group as a way of connecting the human condition to each other , the subject and the subject in a way that yiu create a memory. My group of friends and I take many tours. We all felt that his level of knowledge about a timeless topic of tragedy and hope was perfectly communicated. I cannot express how much he mixed the proper amount of perspective, empathy and connection to group. Through anecdotal stories, fun facts and historical knowledge he filled the tour and it came and went without me looking at my watch. If you want to go through a serious journey about Anne Frank and her legacy, Daniel is my choice for the total experience.
We really enjoyed the tour and Nicole was very informative, knowledgeable and receptive.
Amazing tour! Nicole was absolutely fantastic and made the whole experience so enjoyable from start to finish. Time flew by with her—we never felt bored or tired for a second. Beyond being an excellent and knowledgeable guide, she’s also such a warm, genuine, and wonderful person. She truly made the tour special. Highly recommended!
My daughter and I took the Anne Frank Guided Walking Tour with Giovanni. He was so knowledgeable about the life of Anne Frank and the events of the Nazi Occupation of the Netherlands. The tour was incredibly moving and Giovanni provided photos of each step of the tour. We were in no way rushed and he encouraged us to voice any questions we might have. I would thoroughly recommend taking this tour.
Caroline was an excellent guide and her knowledge superb. I learnt a lot and could really feel the history
Wonderful experience with Katrien! She led us effortlessly around Amsterdam explaining landmarks and giving key historical context. We were a fairly small group and she answered all my many questions kindly and comprehensively. Would definitely recommend! Take note this tour does NOT include entrance to the Anne Frank house (but ends there). Make sure to book that separately.
Our guide was Keiran. He was excellent. Passionate, knowledgeable open to questions. Really informative. Highly recommended!!
Very informative story of the Holocaust as experienced in Amsterdam. It brought tears to my eyes. I wish I had written down the name of our guide. She was very good. The only disappointment was not being able to go into the Anne Frank House. When I purchased the tickets that was my impression.
Guide was very well versed in the history of the deportation of Jews and how it came to be. He adjusted the tour to fit our group needs. He was very engaging.
We had a wonderful afternoon with Katrien as our guide! She was knowledgeable and engaging. We had been to the Anne Frank house earlier in the day and this tour really helped Anne and her family’s story come alive. We learned so much!
