AmalfiCoast half day trip by boat to discover the highlights

Great half day boat trip. Offers stop in Amalfi with enough time to see the sights or have lunch at waterfront restaurant. Lucca was an excellent captain and stopped for us to have a nice swim before returning to port.

Great time on this excursion - probably the best one we did on our cruise. Excellent captain guiding our boat in/out of caves up the Amalfi coastline. Good excursion to not take up your entire day before disembarking. Pick up/drop off is right outside your boat. Highly recommend.

This tour was the best part of our trip! Luca and Antonio were great! They were very informative about the area. We left on time and got back to our ship with plenty of time to explore Salerno as well! The views from the boat are fantastic and taking a trip to Amalfi is a must! I would highly recommend this tour!

Not as advertised!!! It was confusing where to meet. Most tour operators offer pretty explicit instructions… not just meet at the pier. Inside the pier terminal, we found a helpful Port worker who knew them and called to let them know we were here. I sent a message about 15 hours earlier asking for a specific meeting place and received no response. We met with Amelia (very nice) who walked us up to the pier. The 4 of us would be on the boat with 4 other people. Our boat came up … it was basically a large dingy. The pictures provided by the vendor show a much different boat—with railings and a large back area. We asked and they said no this is our boat. No bathroom on the boat. Three of us sat up front on a flat area… no back rest. Five sat in the back but complained that the back support was just a few inches and the back seat was wide… so if you sat back, you legs don’t touch down on the floor. Our boat driver spoke no English. No sights were pointed out. We stopped at one cave and went a little ways into it. The driver said “Pandora” and then when we got to Amalfi, he said “Amalfi”. The title of the tour says with apertif and the description says “Apertif with local products, fruit and sweets. Prosecco, Wine and Beer. Soda/Pop and bottled water. We had soda, water and beer and snack bags of varied potato chips. No wine, No Prosecco, No fruit or sweets. We were given those on the ride to Amalfi. The tour advertised snorkeling and equipment provided. That was not available. We never even stopped anywhere to get in the water. We chose a little pricier tour because it sounded nicer… we had a small uncomfortable ride to Amalfi and back with some chips and soda. No chance to get in the water. No idea what we were seeing along the beautiful coast. This was very disappointing.

First I want to say our boat driver was an excellent driver. There was a bit of confusion getting to the meet place but called twice and finally found the place. We don’t know the name of the driver, we were never told. We signed up for English language guide, our driver drove the boat but we had no idea where we were or what we were looking at until we arrived at Amalfi and the name of the town was on the signs. We stopped at two caves but again, did not know that is what we were doing. After spending 2 hours in Amalfi having lunch, sight seeing and shopping we were asked if we would like water or a coke. We thought we were going to a beach as snorkeling equipment was advertised, we did not.. If there was a reason for the omission, this was not given to us. We hoped there were life preservers onboard but we were never advised where they were should they become necessary. Again, our driver did an excellent job of driving, we did feel safe.

Rico was awesome! Very friendly and knowledgeable. He answered our many questions about the various caves and areas on the coast. He was also so nice to our 3 year old nephew. The boat was perfect size for a few hour trip. He dropped us off right at our port.

This was by far one of the best short excursions we have ever been on! We had such an amazing time I couldn’t be happier. One of our stops on our cruise was in Salerno, and we wanted to experience seeing the Amalfi Coast in a way that you wouldn’t normally be able to buy big cruise ship. The communication and pick up directly from our port was extremely easy which was great. Amelia, the host was super sweet and super kind and she made sure that we had an amazing time. The boat accommodates six people comfortably and the ride along the Amalfi coast was spectacular! We got to experiencing the coast in such a fun way and we would recommend this short excursion 1000%! Couldn’t have been a better host she made sure that the Prosecco was flowing for my husband and I lol and the ride was smooth and so much fun, and we even had time for me to dive into the Mediterranean ocean for a quick swim, which was so exciting! We had some time to stop in the town of Amalfi and did a little bit of sightseeing and shopping. The relaxing vibe of the entire experience is exactly what we needed and we got ! If one of your stops is in Salerno and you want to see the Amalfi coast in a much better way than you would driving from one town to the next this excursion is for you! Amelia was just the best and she made sure that we had a great time. I can’t thank her enough!
