Questo è un giorno di scoperta e storia! Il nostro percorso segue percorsi meno battuti, offrendoti una visione esigente del passato e del presente del Portogallo. Viaggiamo verso la città di Silves. Qui c'è tempo per visitare l'imponente cattedrale e passeggiare per le stradine (biglietti d'ingresso non inclusi). Da qui continuiamo la nostra ascesa al Monte Monchique. Visiteremo l'affascinante paesino termale di Caldas de Monchique, con sorgenti dalle comprovate proprietà medicinali. Seguendo la strada tortuosa, raggiungiamo il punto più alto dell'Algarve - Fóia - a 902 m sul livello del mare. In discesa poi da Fóia, attraversando la campagna e fermandosi nel piccolo villaggio di Marmelete dove avrai tempo per pranzare in uno dei ristoranti locali (incluso). Dopo pranzo andiamo direttamente in Costa Vicentina, per visitare alcune magnifiche spiagge. Quindi si passa alla "fine del mondo": Cape St. Vincent. Passaggio per Sagres, tipico villaggio di pescatori e il suo porto peschereccio riparato.

Visita il castello che risale a questo periodo e offre una magnifica vista sulla campagna circostante.
Continuiamo la nostra ascesa nei Monti Monchique, un paradiso di verdi colline ondulate, maestosi alberi di sughero e pungenti eucalipti.
In piedi a 902 m sul livello del mare. I panorami qui sono drammatici e l'aria incredibilmente pura.
Visita alcune magnifiche spiagge dove puoi avere un po 'di tempo per passeggiare e scattare foto eccellenti, rilassarti e goderti il panorama.
Poi arriva alla "fine del mondo" - la città di Sagres - famosa sede della Scuola di Navigazione del Principe Henry. A Cape St. Vincent (il punto più a sud-ovest dell'Europa) un piccolo faro si erge in cima alle scogliere e sfida gli elementi. Respirare l'aria tonificante del mare e meravigliarsi della vastità del paesaggio.

What an amazing day! This tour took us from the mountain tops in the Monchique Mountains to the most southwestern part of Europe in Sagres and Cabo De San Vicente. Along the way, we stopped and had an absolutely fabulous lunch at the Restaurante O’Castelo. Muito delicioso!! The views along the way were breathtaking and the beaches spectacular. It was a full day, but we saw and learned much about the history and culture of the Algarve. I cannot say enough about Ricardo, our guide. He was amazing. 5-stars plus!! He treated us like we were VIP’s. Ricardo, a native of the Algarve, gave us an in-depth narrative on the history of the area along with a unique perspective of its culture. This made the day even more special for us. An outstanding day!!

The tour guide was very knowledgable about the area and we enjoyed his time with us but our group was picked up a bit late and returned at 1:30 pm instead of 3pm. We were supposed to go for a tour of a sardine museum but this didn’t happen.
Very interesting ride, Pieter as a tour guide was very informative and answered many questions. Highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
