Il tour include la visita del parco archeologico della Valle dei Templi di Agrigento. Caratterizzata da un ottimo stato di conservazione, e da importanti templi dorici del periodo ellenico. È stata inserita nel 1997 dall’Unesco nella Lista del Patrimonio dell’Umanità.
Agrigento è senza dubbio una delle città più belle del mondo, la più visitata di sempre, simbolo di antichità con la sua suggestiva Valle dei Templi. Ma Agrigento non è solo cultura e storia. E' bella non solo per il suo eccezionale patrimonio archeologico, ma anche per l'ambiente naturale che la caratterizza. La bellissima spiaggia di San Leone è composta da soffice sabbia dorata, caratterizzata da chilometrici arenili bagnati da uno splendido mare, dal colore azzurro intenso e dalle limpide acque. Il suo lungomare (Falcone e Borsellino) viene impreziosito di palme alte che lo costeggiano. Nelle sue vicinanze si trova ogni genere di servizio, negozi e ristoranti che offrono specialità siciliane tipiche. Dopo aver esplorato i siti archeologici del Parco Valle dei Templi, concedetevi un pranzo in un ristorantino di fronte al lungomare Falcone Borsellino a San Leone. Qui i piatti sono a base di ingredienti della terra e del mare insieme, un mix unico dal sapore mediterraneo.
Uno splendido gioiello bianco abbagliante che fa da cornice all'azzurro limpido del mare è la Scala dei Turchi. Una delle mete predilette delle estati meridionali, grazie alla sua conformazione dalle linee morbide, tondeggianti ed irregolari e al colore della sua "fredda" falesia bianca. E' composta da roccia sedimentaria argillosa e calcarea, che conferisce alla falesia il caratteristico colore bianco e la bassa temperatura al tatto. La scogliera si raggiunge tramite un percorso di enormi gradoni, in cima ai quali i turisti sono soliti "accamparsi" per prendere il sole o ammirare lo stupendo panorama che affaccia sull'altrettanto affascinante costa di Agrigento.

Giuseppe was a great driver. He took time to explain the sights to us and shared a lot about Sicilian culture. Anna, our tour guide at the temples, was incredibly knowledgeable and allowed us the time we needed to take a lot of pictures. She also happily took our picture in great spots with the temples in the background.

This full day experience featured a drive south to Agrigento to see the temples of the gods. Our driver, Mimmo, shared information along the way. He was super courteous and concerned for our comfort and welfare. Our guide at the temples was Anna. She was incredibly knowledgeable and we felt well informed about what we were seeing. Long drive from Palermo but totally worth it. The valley of temples is stunning. Having a guide was worth the extra cost but the layout and signage would make it possible to do without.

You do want to see the valley of temples. You will feel transported in time and probably will feel you are in Greece. Fabrizio our driver and Danielle our guide were amazing.
