Il Taj Mahal "Corona del Palazzo" è un mausoleo in marmo bianco avorio sulla riva destra del fiume Yamuna nella città indiana di Agra. Fu commissionato nel 1632 dall'imperatore Mughal Shah Jahan (r. 1628–1658) per ospitare la tomba della sua moglie preferita, Mumtaz Mahal; ospita anche la tomba dello stesso Shah Jahan. La tomba è il fulcro di un complesso di 17 ettari (42 acri), che comprende una moschea e una foresteria, ed è situata in giardini formali delimitati su tre lati da un muro merlato.

I originally booked this company for our trip to visit the Taj Mahal but after talking to Adil Khan I discovered they were able to provide me with a driver for the rest of the week to take us from Delhi to Jaipur and on to Agra. The driver Pankaj had to be the most careful and considerate driver in India and absolutely made our holiday. In addition Adil organised tours in each city which enhanced our visit and ensured we got the most out of each city. I genuinely cannot recommend this company enough. Their attention to detail, responsiveness and overall client care was off the scale. Very well done and a huge thank you.

Imran was very knowledgable about about the monument, it's connection to other beautiful structures in Agra - and generally how it came to be. As an avid history and architecture buff, naturally I had many questions - which he patiently answered, while providing an alternative PoV to certain myths that abound. He also helped click a boatload of pics - a few of which can be professional grade. He was an able chaperone, helping navigate around curious primates, exuberant hawkers, and the odd palm-greasing. He wasn't pushy about the upsell - but did respectfully suggest checking out local artisans and food delicacies. I couldn't indulge because of a bus I was running late for. Overall would recommend - but do try and visit at sunrise to avoid the crowds - and also try to time it in Feb for decent temps, lower crowds and relatively low smog.
