Itinerario
Osserva la città di Adelaide e le viste panoramiche. Questa zona è stata scoperta da Mathew Flinders nel 1802. Tempo permettendo, può essere molto freddo e nebbioso.
Supera Thorngrove Manor. Costruito per sembrare un castello barocco, questo hotel sontuoso e di alto livello dista 1,5 km dai giardini botanici di Mount Lofty e 9 km dal Parco nazionale di Belair, che si estende per 835 ettari.
Bridgewater Mill e Waterwheel. Situato nell'incantevole città di Bridgewater, nello scenario sconcertante delle Adelaide Hills, questo antico mulino risale al 1860 quando fu costruito da John Dunn, un ingegnere del Devonshire. Costruì un certo numero di mulini per la farina in tutta l'Australia, ma il Bridgewater Mill è di gran lunga il suo più famoso. (Si prega di notare ruota idraulica non è in funzione e solo un display ststic) Situato su Mount Barker Road, il mulino vanta un'imponente ruota idraulica che è stata costruita a metà del 1800. Dunn scelse questo punto particolare per il mulino perché era un punto caldo privilegiato per catturare il traffico che passava attraverso la zona. Nel 1986 il frantoio è stato acquistato da un consorzio che lo ha ristrutturato e ha integrato nell'edificio una cantina premiata: Petaluma wines. Oggi, è sia un ristorante popolare che una cantina, attirando folle in cerca di attività culturali nella zona di Adelaide.
Imbarco per la crociera del pranzo di 3 ore e 2 portate. Salire sul fiume verso le spettacolari scogliere è uno spettacolo da vedere o godersi le distese inferiori del fiume Murray che circonda il ponte Murray per una pausa rilassante. Ad ogni modo hai il meglio del fiume Murray a tuo piacimento.
Goditi il tempo libero a Hahndorf dopo la tua crociera sul fiume. Hahndorf è classificata come il più antico insediamento tedesco sopravvissuto in Australia e ogni anno migliaia di persone, giovani e meno giovani, godono del suo fascino e dell'ospitalità.

enjoyed the trip especially Hansdorf
I thought I'd be lost for words writing this review about Roy our guide but, funnily enough, I'm not. An absolutely fantastic tour guide — informative, engaging and genuinely impressive. His bad jokes somehow made the tour even better, keeping everyone laughing the whole time. A perfect mix of knowledge, humour and personality that made the experience unforgettable. I highly recommend asking for Roy if you book with this Company, ypu will.not be disappointed! Thanks Roy for a beaut day Cheers Jodie
Wonderful day on the river with friends, awesome lunch
Roy was a very knowlegeable and helpful guide, he was also an absolute hoot - with endless Dad jokes!!! Mount Lofty was very impressive with stunning views; the River Cruise was lovely and very relaxing with delicious fish & chips... but for me, Hahndorf was the highlight and I could've stayed all afternoon.
An outstanding day. A great experience. We had a great time and saw some great places. Phil, our tour operator and driver did a great job!
Phil was a great tour guide. He put up with us all with a lot of humour back and forth. Felt like we had always known him. The boat cruise was awesome. Food was great. Would thoroughly recommend it for a quiet day out.
This was amazing tour. All stops had plenty of time to look around and lunch on the Murray River was so good. The staff was also amazing specially Roy.
Good tour guide/bus driver with enough information to help us make decisions. E.g. 1 hour at Hahndorf, she suggested where to shop. Murray River Cruise was very pleasant, but the commentary was completely ignored by the rest of the guests, as they talked so loudly, we could not hear. We could hear outside, but the day was chilly, so not an ideal place.
Guide was way too chatty and quite annoying. Cruise was relaxing but lunch was not very good. I would never book with this company again.
I'm sorry our Guide was a bit too chatty, but they do like to describe all the places that they go past and set general conversations. To be honest, this is the very first time in the over a 20 year history that i've ever had a review saying that the guides talk too much. I hope you enjoy other tours that you may attend in the future.
Graham was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we travelled through and his light hearted humour made for a lovely day. Unfortunately the lunch was a let down on the river cruise. I had the fish and chips and ended up with a plate full of burnt, oily batter with little bits of dry fish here and there, others at our table felt equally let down give what we paid.
Rosina, I noticed from reviews that there has been a problem with the batter on the fish the last few days. I questioned the kitchen regarding this issue and found that the flour used was different from our regular flour and the suppler was out of what we generally used. They substituted it and caused all these issues including drying out the fish as it was frying. Our supplier has now delivered new stock of the original flour so i believe this issue has now been rectified. Im happy you enjoyed the tour and our driver. We do hope to see you again. Greig
