Vedrai anche i resti del Teatro di Dioniso, che vide le prime rappresentazioni di drammi antichi e del Teatro di Erode Attico. Questo fantastico sito ha svolto un ruolo centrale nello sviluppo di una delle più grandi civiltà del mondo e esercita un'influenza centrale sugli abitanti di questa antica città distesi nelle viste panoramiche sottostanti.

INCONTRO LA NOSTRA GUIDA. La tua guida ti aspetterà in via Makrygianni alla fermata della metropolitana Acropolis, che si trova proprio dietro l'angolo dall'ingresso principale dell'Acropoli. Il nostro punto d'incontro offre una prospettiva ideale da cui vedere il muro di cinta dell'Acropoli costruito dalla precedente civiltà micenea e per fornire un'introduzione alla storia dell'Acropoli, alla sua importanza e al suo ruolo nella vita dell'antica Grecia, e un panoramica dei templi e dei meravigliosi monumenti che stai per vedere.
Ancora in buono stato di conservazione, una delle nostre prime tappe è l'Antico TEATRO DI DIONISO. Costruito nel IV e V secolo aC in un anfiteatro naturale alle pendici dell'Acropoli, avrebbe avuto una capacità impressionante di 25.000 persone, è considerato il più antico del mondo. È incredibile pensare che molte delle più famose opere dell'antica Grecia abbiano avuto la loro prima originale qui!
Salire verso la porta monumentale (Propilei) e l'ingresso all'Acropoli. Quando i templi dell'Acropoli apparvero, gli antichi greci sarebbero stati accolti da un'enorme statua in bronzo decorata della dea Atena. Secondo la leggenda, la punta della sua lancia sollevata poteva essere vista dalle navi in arrivo alla luce del sole.
Costruito intorno al 420 a.C. e uno dei primi templi dell'Acropoli, questo tempio ionico classico era dedicato alla dea Atena ed è in gran parte restaurato, con una posizione prominente che domina la città.
L'apice dell'età dell'oro della Grecia classica, questo tempio era un capolavoro senza rivali di arte, architettura e ingegneria, nonché il cuore delle cerimonie e del culto dell'antica Grecia ad Atene. Prendiamo del tempo in questo tempio più importante con una panoramica della sua costruzione, mitologia e importanza storica.
Il secondo tempio più grande dell'Acropoli, l'Eretteo, era dedicato sia a Zeus che alla dea Atene e la tua guida illustrerà parte della sua meravigliosa mitologia e aspetti principali come le sue imponenti statue che ora vedrai nel Museo.
Costruito nel 161 d.C. da Erode Attico in memoria di sua moglie, questo splendido anfiteatro in marmo continua ad essere un teatro funzionante fino ai giorni nostri.

This was the best tour EVER! One of the highlights of our week in Greece! We went to the Acropolis and the Ancient Agora. Our tour guide, Michael, was absolutely fantastic. Michael was incredibly knowledgeable-and hilarious!! As a history buff, I love learning the details, but I know history can feel dry for some people. Not with Michael! He brought the stories to life, kept us engaged the entire time, and had us laughing throughout the tour. We had so much fun getting to know him while learning about Greece’s rich history. I’ve been on several private tours throughout Europe, and this was by far my favorite-largely because of Michael. If you’re visiting Athens, do yourself a favor and book this tour with Michael. You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent tour! Our licensed guide Komissa was extremely knowledgeable, friendly & engaging. We booked this tour with WarmPenguin via Viator at the last minute after difficulties dealing with an individual/independent guide. Our tour of the Acropolis was fantastic. This is one of the most important places in human history and it’s a must to visit if you are in Athens. Our guide, Becky, was amazing. She was friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Having a guide and skipping the line took all the stress out of planning and allowed us to totally enjoy this amazing site. Pro tip, it gets hot and crowded in the afternoon. If you can go early go early. We started at 7:30am and it was perfect.
