L'Odeon di Erode Attico è uno splendido teatro in pietra situato sul versante sud-ovest dell'Acropoli di Atene. Costruito nel 161 d.C. dal senatore romano Erode Attico in memoria della moglie, era originariamente coperto da un tetto in legno e poteva ospitare circa 5.000 spettatori. Ancora oggi in uso per concerti e spettacoli, è uno dei migliori esempi di architettura teatrale romana antica in Grecia.

L'antica Agorà di Atene (chiamata anche Agorà Classica) è l'esempio più noto di un'antica agorà greca, situata a nord-ovest dell'Acropoli e delimitata a sud dalla collina dell'Areopago e ad ovest dalla collina nota come Agoraios Kolonos, chiamata anche Collina del Mercato. L'uso iniziale dell'Agorà era per un luogo commerciale, di assemblea o di ritrovo residenziale

After meeting our guide at the tour operators office, it was a short walk to the entrance and it was nice to walk past the lines of people waiting to purchase entry tickets. Our guide was very nice and was thoughtful at planning his stops for brief talks in shady and breezy spots. We were lucky to have a beautiful June day. Unfortunately for me, I found it hard to understand much of our guide’s English. The tour description tells you which temples/sights you will see and I’d recommend reading about them ahead of the tour to get more out of the tour.
Our guide brought the old way of life and ancient buildings to life. This is a must do for Athens (wear a hat and bring a drink bottle as it’s hot hot hot)
Our guide was excellent and shared his love for history with our group. He’d find great spots for shade and views along the route. The information was clear and interesting!
The tour was great, but the office messed up the tickets, so we were delayed at each gate. The tour guide was even frustrated.
Tour guide was not very engaging. There's a way to explain the history of the Acropolis in a way that keeps the attention of the group - and this was not a skill possessed by our guide. We spent very little time at the top of the Acropolis to explore (only 15 mins), which was disappointing because we spent more time taking a break at a tourist ice cream shop for people to use the toilets. It's a shame, because this is a must-see in Athens. In the future, I would recommend pre-booking the tickets to avoid the line for day-of purchases, but think about skipping the guided tour because the quality of the actual tour can vary quite widely.
Our tour guide was so knowledgeable. The way she explained everything with such passion made the whole experience worth every penny. I honestly believe that so much would be missed without a tour guide to share so much history. You need to wear sensible footwear as the land is very uneven and can be slippery.
Good tour but pace was a little slow. With a large group you go at the pace of the slowest person. Giannis was a good guide and very informative. In the future I would choose a small group tour together to see more and better pace.
Nancy was a great guide. She was very knowledgeable. We had great time. Make sure to bring water and sunscreen.

An excellent tour. (No fault of the tour company, but there were way too many people there. I don't recommend going at this time of year for that reason.) The guide was extremely knowledgable, and gave a thorough history of each site. The museum at the end of the tour was really fascinating. Be prepared for a very long morning or afternoon. This tour was over 5 hours long and a lot of walking, many stairs. Not a problem for us, but could be for many.
