We left the ship heading to the city center to see... when at the excursion tent they were there, the truth is that the guide spoke entirely in Spanish, which we needed. The excursion was wonderful, and the food at the restaurant was great. I recommend it 100%. Thank you, Martin, for sharing your knowledge.
It was wonderful! Thank you, Valentina! Great tour through Tromso - saw a lot - learned a lot! Take the tour and experience the city! Thanks from Nici and Katja.
We booked a trip as the only wheelchair option for an excursion on our ten day Fred Olsen cruise, and were blown away. Not only did they make our two wheelchair users feel like their access needs were as simple as breathing, the knowledge of the tour guide was exceptional, and the passion for the city of Tromso was intoxicating. They were really flexible and understanding when some of us wanted to do slightly different things (in part due to non physical disability), and the knowledge of wheelchairs and expertise in them was really above and beyond from our previous experiences! I’d hugely recommend this for anyone with access needs, and feel confident in recommending them as people who will treat you as an individual who deserves the best tourism experience. I’d probably book with them again as an individual with no access needs just based on the friendliness and knowledge :) We weren’t aware photos were included (and swiftly shared) which was such a lovely touch.
It was booked through the cruise company. It was a 4hr tour that involved a mini-bus rather than a coach which meant a small group. Guides were friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure that everyone was safe walking on snow/ice. There was room for wheelchair users, but my group did not have anybody who used a wheelchair. It was an 8:30am start, which meant lovely views of the morning sun at Telegrafbukta Beach. They guide also gave us a tour of the Tromso University Museum instead of just letting us find our own way through the exhibits. Included time for individuals to look around the museum. Since some people needed walking aides, the driver tried to get to the main entrance of the Arctic Cathedral. Unfortunately it was too difficult for the mini-bus. Entrance to the cathedral and museum were included. A good view of the highlights of Tromso, the time flew past, nothing seemed rushed
Thank you very much for such nice review!
Absolutely lovely, the tour guide was amazing helped us understand where everything was the tour was above and beyond
We booked this tour and Louai was our guide. Originally set for Sunday, Martin (our booking coordinator) proactively rescheduled due to poor weather, prioritizing better aurora visibility—unlike many operators who'd proceed regardless. This thoughtful approach was truly commendable. Our group was intimate: just four of us in a wheelchair-accessible van. Louai, a local with over 20 years in Tromsø, was exceptionally knowledgeable and attentive. Barely out of the city, auroras appeared; he swiftly navigated to a viewing spot, then rerouted to a quieter nearby site to avoid crowds. No hiking required—we had prime positioning right by the van. Louai built a warming fire and ensured our comfort throughout. The small group fostered easy connections, letting us fully immerse in the spectacle without distractions. We savored a hearty hot soup, followed by warm chocolate and cookies. Beyond the lights, Louai shared insights into Tromsø life, enriching the experience. Every detail reflected expertise and care. Though I'm currently on crutches (not a wheelchair), the inclusive setup was invaluable. Heartfelt thanks to Louai and Martin for making accessible tourism exceptional. A unique, unforgettable night—highly recommended!
Do this tour! And have the fish soup for lunch. Our guide, Valentina, was so awesome. So funny, friendly & knowledgeable. Oh and an excellent driver. Plus I got to test my ability ti speak Italian. Accessibility was no issue. Stayed on my chair in the van. Got to join the walking guests at most stops. Some areas were too icy for chairs. But options are always offered
Enjoyable tour with this new company. Excellent guides, knowledgeable with a sense of humour. Just one point mini bus a little uncomfortable if seated in the rear over the wheel arches, our tour was full. We would strongly recommend this company.
Having reduced mobility and dreaming is sometimes difficult, but with tromso accessible tours, dreams and accomplishments. Thank you for helping me every moment for the organization and for the treatment. I come happy to have seen auroras, whales and fjords with their reindeer. Even with snow nothing was impossible why you made it possible. THANK YOU Martin for the trust and the treatment, thank you Max for also being at the foot of the canyon and truly THANK YOU to all the team for everything I will dream again and we will look safe again 🐋
I booked the Accessible Island Tour directly with the company after an internet search and a couple of direct emails. From the very beginning communication was excellent, answering all access queries with understanding and empathy. I received an email about 2 weeks before the visit explaining that the cable car was having work done and that the Museum and Arctic Cathedral would be added in, I was a little disappointed but my wife happy about… On the day of the trip the vehicle arrived with Martin our guide. From the outset he was kind and caring with my wife and her lack of mobility, giving choices of entry into the vehicle with no pressure applied. We were lucky to see Reindeer on Whale Island, in the road, and Martin was very knowledgeable having worked with the Sami. The stop at the ‘beach/jetty’ was an opportunity for pics. Moving on to the Museum, we spent just over an hour looking at the Aurora and Sami displays and then an opportunity to visit the cafe. After a quick drive around the town with Martin pointing out places of interest we headed to the Arctic Cathedral which was amazing, well worth the visit after seeing it on TV. All in all it was a great experience and worth the cost. Martin was knowledgeable, patient and understanding.
