We booked a custom tour for our family group (8 people). Everything was arranged and our guide, Karl, was truly exceptional. Good sense of humor, tons of information about the country, history, and culture, good ideas. He managed a great balance of sharing information and engaging us, while also not talking too much (an experience we've had with previous guides in other places). He was able to allow for some degree of spontaneity, while also covering everything we requested. He was also thoughtful (quietly bought some band-aids when he overheard my teen daughter mention that she had a blister). The lodging was perfect. Really, everything went so smoothly, it was amazing, especially with a group ranging in age from 14-87!

Excellent Tour Guide (Tom Ballam) - knowledgeable, very friendly, patient (especially with a group of 18) and safe driver. Good hotel accommodation/dinner choices where relevant. Breakfast could be improved for Moslems/Vegetarians who don't eat pork or meat. Choice of important tourist stopovers was excellent especially the Glacier Walk, Whale Watching , theForest Lagoon and the Outdoor Wilderness cottage stay. Will certainly recommend Tom and Arctic Adventures to family and friends should they wish to tour Iceland.

This was truly an amazing, unforgettable experience. Words really can't describe how spectacular every single day of this trip was. First, the itinerary is carefully planned to pack as much as possible into those six days while still allowing time to enjoy each of the stops. And of course, the stops are fantastic. Every day was another opportunity to see something amazing! The van was spacious and comfortable, and every one of the hotels delivered a unique experience. We booked the Adventure package, and had the additional opportunity to do the glacier hike, and the whale sightseeing. Both of those were incredible experiences, and we are so happy we chose to do them. Of course, what really made our tour superb was our guide, Joi. He was knowledgeable, a fantastic and safe driver, and quick-thinking in difficult situations.When the van experienced a tire puncture, he handled things quickly and, amazingly, made sure our tour was not affected at all! His quick-thinking really saved the day for us all! He provided us with so much information every day, including weather forecasts for the next day, restaurant suggestions, and additional information about Iceland. He really went above and beyond to ensure everyone was not only taken care of at all times, but that everyone had an incredible experience. We also really appreciate the fact that he took us to a stop that was not on the official itinerary in order to see puffins up-close! That was one of the things we really hoped to see, so it made the trip even more memorable! I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! This was our third trip with Arctic Adventures (the other two were day trips) and, if we are fortunate enough to be in Iceland again, we would absolutely choose them again!

I had such an incredible experience on this 6-day Iceland tour, and a huge part of that was because of Bjorn. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and clearly cared deeply about showing us his country. It never felt like he was just taking us from stop to stop – he gave us such a comprehensive understanding of Iceland's history, present day, culture, and even his own observations and commentary, which made everything so much richer. Bjorn was also very direct and no-nonsense, which I really appreciated. He kept everyone accountable for being on time, which meant we got the most out of every day. At the same time, he was incredibly friendly and had this fatherly energy that made the whole group feel really well looked after. The itinerary itself was amazing. We saw so much incredible nature, got to experience such a huge variety of landscapes and activities, and I loved that the group was a friendly bunch that got along well and had a lot of opportunities to spend time (sharing meals, chatting during the transports) experiencing everything together added so much to the trip. If I had any negatives, it would only be that the van felt a little squeeze-y at times and because we spent so much time in it. But, I completely understand why they use that size of vehicle instead of a larger coach or bus - it makes sense for the roads and the type of experience they're creating, and it didn't overall take away from how fantastic the trip was. Overall, I genuinely couldn't have asked for a better way to experience Iceland. It was such a rich, memorable six days, and I'd recommend this tour to anyone in a heartbeat.

This tour was amazing! Our tour guide Viggo was very knowledgeable and patient with our special requests! He even prepared a surprise birthday present/party for one of the girls in the tour. I had a wonderful time on this 6 day tour and will highly recommend it!

We had the pleasure of having Mr. Vigoo as our tour guide in Iceland, and he truly made our trip unforgettable. He is highly responsible and took great care of each member of our group, always making sure we were happy and comfortable. He was very friendly and approachable, and he did his absolute best to accommodate all of our requests. His driving was extremely safe and careful, which gave us great peace of mind on Iceland’s challenging roads. We also really appreciated that he stopped for washroom breaks every 40 minutes to an hour—this small detail made a huge difference in our comfort during the long drives. On top of that, all of the accommodation arrangements were perfectly organized and of great quality. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Thank you, Mr. Vigoo!

The iconic scenery, hikes, activities and lodging, exceeded my expectations. Best of all, was our friendly guide, Vignir, who regaled us with Icelandic history, geology, and compelling lore as we experienced enchanting landscapes. Additionally, Vignir was helpful when necessary (a forgotten item) and accomodating, when our group wanted to stop for photos. An unforgettable journey!

This was a great experience! We got to see so many things! Viggo was an absolutely amazing tour guide! He made what we wanted to happen, happen. He made our experience terrific! He told us so much information and always gave us a heads up for food and other great opportunities. He was very friendly and always so happy and excited to take us to each place!

Great way to see all of Iceland.

My 6 day tour through Arctic Adventures was perfect in every sense. The whole experience was made exceptional because of the efforts of one extraordinary man, our guide - Pall Swanson. He was hilarious throughout the trip, took every effort to explain the history of his homeland, show us around a few spots that were not on the original itinerary, but he just added them from the goodness of his heart. The whole personal experience from someone who has lived through the history of the land, just makes the entire experience very wholesome and the whole group was very appreciative of it. Every accommodation over the course of the trip was clean, spacious, and surpassed all our expectations. I honestly have no complaints except one with myself - i wish i had done this before and for more days. I also want to add a mention to our glacier hiking guide Matthi. Matthi was an exceptional guide and took great care to ensure that every single person in our tour group had a good time on Day 2 when we climbed the glacier Vatnajokull. He made the excursion fun with his witty jokes, gave us some very smart tricks to take amazing pictures. 5/5 stars to him.
