Excellent experience! The cruise ship exceeded our expectations- very beautiful river cruise ship, staff is really amazing, food is delicious, great choice, great service! The trips they offer on mainland were organized and fulfilled to perfection! We were a party of 17 adults, traveling together, an we upgraded to the VIP restaurant with drinks included, and we don’t regret a bit of our choice! Everything was up to a 5 star standard! The cabins are a bit small but offering all necessary facilities, bathroom amenities, mini bar, TV sat, non stop running hot water, balcony with chairs to sit outside and enjoy the sailing along the river! All premises are perfectly clean and cabins are attended couple of times a day! Great appreciation and thanks to the cruise management! Well done job!
Had a wonderful time onboard. The staff spoke good English and were very polite and helpful. The food was well presented and despite the large number of people on board, there was always plenty available. The disembarkation process was very well handled with staggered times. Plenty to do on board with a quiet reading/library area for those who wanted to relax. Tai chi in the mornings was offered. Great opportunity to slow down before hitting the city trips again.
An unforgettable experience: a river cruise on the Yangtze River(Yichang to Chongqing) is a must for anyone traveling to China. The tour operator service was exceptional, with excellent communication and quick responses to every question. they took great care of us, ensuring we had a smooth and enjoyable journey. The breathtaking landscapes and historical landmarks we encountered made this trip truly memorable. Thank you very much.
The Victoria Anna is dated but classy and functional and we really enjoyed our 5 day/4 night cruise from Yichang to Chongqing, embarking on Saturday afternoon and disembarking on Wednesday morning. We upgraded to a junior suite, cabin 507, which was clean and had a safe, kettle, two bottles of water each day in room, tea, coffee, fridge, hairdryer. A small tv with one English speaking channel - CNN. 2 main electric sockets on the opposite side of the room to the bed, which was annoying, as we were using our phone as an alarm. No usb sockets. A big umbrella, two single beds, double beds only available if you upgrade even more. 2 bathrobes, 2 pairs of slippers, full length mirror, writing desk and chair, 2 other easy chairs, a small table, some drawer space in the wardrobe. Very useful Aircon. A large bathroom with sink, toilet and shower over a bath, with shampoo and body cleanser. A washing line above the bath. Bistro table and 2 chairs on the balcony. Bowl of fruit in the cabin. We also upgraded to the Executive Amenities Package, which meant about 30 of us ate in the Victoria Lounge on deck 6, with waitress service, while the 200 other passengers ate in the main buffet dining room on the second floor. We had an a la carte option for dinner only and drinks were included for lunch and dinner, also a happy hour in the main bar for one hour before dinner, when certain drinks were free and soft drinks throughout the day. The package starts the day after embarkation. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good. Pay your bill on board with cash, not credit card, as the conversion rate was very unfavourable and cost me over £30 more than normal on our £360 upgrade bill. An excursion was included each day. It was a great way to travel the 600kms along the Yangtze and learn about life there.
