Itinerario

We had an outstanding experience on the 4x4 Signature Rainforest Tour with Adventure Tours Costa Rica. This was a private tour. We were a group of 5 adults. This was one of our favorite excursions during our stay in Jaco. Our guide, Jordan, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable throughout the day. The private tour was well worth the extra cost because it gave us flexibility, personalized attention, and a relaxed pace. The tour included wildlife spotting, off-road mountain driving, beautiful rainforest scenery, a visit to the impressive Catarata Bijagual waterfall, and a delicious lunch with spectacular views overlooking the Pacific coast. Jordan shared information about the local plants, wildlife, and culture that made the experience even more enjoyable. The waterfall hike was manageable for active retirees, though there were some uneven, rocky sections. The scenery along the trail was beautiful, and the waterfall itself was well worth the effort. If you're looking for a tour that combines adventure, nature, wildlife, great food, and amazing views, I highly recommend Adventure Tours Costa Rica and Jordan. This was a fantastic way to experience a different side of Costa Rica beyond the beaches. Pacayal waterfall was such a cool experience. they made the walk sound kind of long, but honestly it felt super quick because the whole way there was fun. walking through the river was one of the best parts. your shoes are definitely going to get wet, but that’s part of the adventure. the whole place felt like something out of jurassic park. even though we went outside of rainy season, the waterfall was still amazing and so tall. i can only imagine what it looks like when it’s really rushing, and i’ll definitely be coming back in rainy season to see it again. also, the restaurant we stopped at on the way back was absolutely amazing. the views were incredible, looking out over the valleys and all the way to the coast. everyone got something different and everything was amazing. A couple people even order more to go for later… highly, highly recommend.
View from the top of the mountain was awesome. Lunch was good and our guide was friendly and informative.
We had a blast! The ride up and back was half the fun! When they say no bad backs, they mean it! The lunch was in fact delicious. I’m really glad we added this experience to our vacation, it was truly a highlight.
Our guide was awesome showing us wildlife and different plants. Great views and lunch. You don't need to take much with you.
Great day out with just the two of us and our driver . Spectacular views across the hills from over 2000 feet up. Waterfalls were stunning at the end of the rainy season
Well, somehow our reservation was mixed up I booked it for a lunch/booze/waterfall adventure but didn’t get the booze. Thank goodness we brought our own cooler with our own alcohol. The ride was 25 minute long to the waterfall and way too short of a stay once we arrived. Waterfall was lovely but not enough time only 45 minute then we had to head to the lunch spot which was absolutely delicious with the authentic Costa Rica flavor and an amazing view of the mountains. This trip needs to be longer for more time at the waterfall and don’t feel rushed. Overall it was a fun outing indeed.
Epic Beautiful scenery and waterfalls Enjoyed swimming in waterfall pool Lunch was very tasty with the best mountain top views Wilmer was a great tour guide and safe driver
The ride up the mountain was fun on the back of a 4x4. Great views. Nice swim in the waterfall. Lunch was delicious with a great view of the valley. We all loved it. The guide was really knowledgeable and friendly.
My husband and I scheduled the tour for the day after our 36th wedding anniversary. October is a slow time in Costa Rica and we were the only ones on the tour. Our guide, Alonzo, was great. It was a beautiful hour ride into the forest to see the waterfall and the lunch location was spectacular. Views, views everywhere. And the food was delicious. Since it was just us we stopped at a local chocolatier, where they also grow the beans, on the way back. Bought some great chocolates and enjoyed the hour ride back to headquarters. Beautiful country.
