Imagine paying a premium for not only the cruise but transfers for the so-called premium vans but don’t even get me started. The driver who picked and dropped us was the same and an absolute idiot and a moron. Both ways he made us sit separately even though I was traveling with my mother but the driver was forced me to sit separately on a very uncomfortable seat in the front which killed the purpose of traveling together that too when you have three hour drive each side. Then he forced us out when we were going back to Hanoi for a stop even though I was feeling sea sick and requested the driver to let me stay in the van but he forced badges in our hands to go in the shop and buy things so he can earn commission. I again requested him to let us stay in the van because he allowed a lady with a child to stay in the van but he still forced us out. I would reiterate that stay away from this stupid company. They are exceptionally rude and got no value for money or for customers.

Highlight of our trip. The room and view was something out of a movie. The food was incredible and the service from the staff was exceptional. Our host was very knowledgeable and funny. It was our honeymoon so they took extra care of us. Would recommend a thousand times over

Despite the weather being a bit cloudy, cold and rainy we had a wonderful experience. The ship is beautiful. The rooms, including the private baths, are all spacious, exquisitely decorated and all with private balconies facing the sea. Food is excellent also for vegetarians. Besides all of the delicious meals there were lots of activities like touring magical caves within the limestone mountains or kayaking or starting the day with a tai chi class. There was also a small heated swimming pool/jacuzzi which we enjoyed in the afternoon. But best of all was probably the lovely staff who went out of their way to accommodate us. We recommend taking the transfer that Genesis provide. It took us from Hanoi to Halong, and back again, in a smooth and efficient way. Overall fantastic value for money.

We did a 2 night cruise last may 2023 . It was fantastic . the 1 night cruise would have left us feeling short so the 2 night was worth doing. we had a lovely time . the staff made everyone feel very special. they had organised a birthday cake for my wife and bought it out shortly after the main course at dinner time. Everyone sang happy birthday to her. very thoughtful. the obviously deduct the birthdays from passport information. our room was faultless and the balcony was very private. we loved the excursions and the total experience was fantastic. The food was 8/10 hence the rating very good but not excellent. Saying that I am bringing friends and family 2025 and will be using genesis again as I believe it is great value for money.

AMAZING! Our 1 night cruise on Ha Long Bay was simply amazing right from pick up from our hotel to arrival at the boat to our delicious meals. Can't say enough how awesome the staff were and how special we were all made to feel. We were catered to and spoiled all day long. The good was so good, just enjoyed every bite. The excursions to ride in sampans where we were rowed around a small bay and to kayaking was great. All rooms have huge windows to enjoy the view of the limestone formations while lying in bed. The beds are very comfortable. The staff were incredible. Just the nicest and very professional. I wish we had booked the 2 night cruise as ours was over way too fast. You can't go wrong with this luxury cruise and the warm and friendly staff.

Very beautiful ship with super delicious rooms, well-structured pickup and good food in cosy restaurant. Really good staff. The pool in front of the ship is a hit.

Spending the day exploring and cruising around the Ha Long Bay Islands is enough of a Wow experience but sleeping on the boat among them, watching the Sun set and rise is an experience not to be missed. An experience made even better by the crew of the Genesis Regal who were outstanding. Tony, our host, was engaging and entertaining as he educated us about the islands and organised us and the other guests into our various scheduled activities. All activities were enjoyable and there was also plenty of time for some personal R&R. The rooms were another Wow factor. Spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and views from every aspect including the bathtub (yes, there was a tub in the room) and the toilet. The included meals were fabulous with non meat eaters being well catered for and there was an endless supply of complimentary bottled water available. A special mention goes to the fire twirling cocktail waiter who wowed us with his talents in the evening and the early morning Tai Chi instructor who gave us energy and focus to take on the new day. Our only complaint was that the pillows on the bed could have been softer and our only regret was that we didn’t book the 2 night cruise. I highly recommend Genesis Regal and hope to have the opportunity to cruise with them again.

Seamless hotel transfer from Hanoi to cruise centre. We opted for a 3 days 2 nights cruise in order to do more activities, which included a visit on a speed boat to Cat Ba island. The secluded village on the Cat Ba island was an exceptional experience with scenic views as we rode on bicycles. We also visited a private beach for a swim with spectacular views. When it got too hot, they even suggested we moved to another area to swim more comfortably. Special thanks to our tour guides Vinny and Toan as they were very meticulous, helpful and thoughtful in ensuring we are well taken care of throughout. Our stay was made memorable with the crew.

I booked this trip a couple of days ago as it has only good reviews. My booking never got confirmed or cancelled even though it was supposed to happen today morning. They charged the money on my account and no service at all!! As well I couldn't book an other service as I had no idea if they will pick us up or not! Avoid this company as far as you can!

This was our 1st trip to hanoi and halong by. was a memorable one. especially this cruise. The room were facing the sea. good view with balcony. Friendly staff. especially the guide (Alex). Many activities to keep you busy same time thy wont force you. The meals were superb. The bar tender show is something you should not miss. will surely recommend and go again.
