Scopri la storia e la cultura del Parco ecologico di Xochimilco in questo tour di un'intera giornata da Città del Messico. Un piccolo gruppo garantisce un'esperienza più personalizzata. Esplora i canali dichiarati patrimonio dell'UNESCO tramite una nave tradizionale e visita un'isola di lavoro per saperne di più sul patrimonio agricolo della zona. Quindi, gustare un pasto in stile familiare incluso a base di ingredienti locali dopo una visita più lunga al mercato locale.

Itinerario
Inizierà la giornata nel centro di Città del Messico con caffè e dolci sorprendenti all'Hagamos Composta Cafe, il centro comunitario con il più grande progetto di compostaggio indipendente del paese. Partiremo poi in un furgone privato per il sito patrimonio dell'UNESCO di Xochimilco, un luogo per una crociera da diporto e anche una risorsa agricola vitale. Scopriremo di più sulla cultura e il cibo di Xochimilco e incontreremo le persone che mantengono il suo sistema agricolo unico nel suo genere.
La nostra prima tappa sarà il vasto mercato della zona di Xochimilco. Assaggeremo diversi piatti precolombiani come i tlacoyos (polpette di farina di mais di forma ovale ripiene di fave, formaggio, fagioli fritti, spinaci, patate e altro ancora) fatti a mano da donne locali che ogni mattina allestiscono un negozio in una delle corsie. Mentre esploriamo il mercato impareremo di più sui diversi tipi di prodotti che vengono coltivati localmente nelle chinampas.
Seguiremo i prodotti locali del mercato fino alla loro origine mentre cavalchiamo la nostra trajinera attraverso parte della riserva ecologica particolarmente ricca di flora e fauna. Attraverserà i canali – attraverso parte della riserva ecologica. Mentre la barca scivola attraverso i canali che collegano le chinampas, avremo una degustazione a bordo di prodotti di stagione freschi dal mercato. Dopo l’attracco, torneremo al centro di Città del Messico con un furgone privato.

The amount of history information given made this tour strong. The information was given in a way that was easy to understand and remember. The food we tried was fantastic and visiting a chinampa only to learn that the money from this tour helps fund them made me feel so great to be a part of that.

This was an AMAZING tour! Our guide, Victor, had an impressive knowledge about Mexico/CDMX, it's people and culture. He was passionate about sharing his insights, and had a playful sense of humor and enthusiasm which elevated the whole tour experience. The tour was equally divided between the Xochimilco market and canals, with time for a café breakfast, substantial lunch, and snacks on the boat (including the best guacamole I have ever had!) I particularly enjoyed floating the chiampas canals, it's a tranquil and fascinating area and a great respite from the business of Mexico City. I definitely recommend the tour, they hit a great balance of adventure, information, and tasty food.

Do not hesitate to sign up for this tour! Paco, our tour guide, was excellent! The entire tour is well laid out and paced for all ages. Being able to explore and try foods from individuals the guide has developed relationships with is priceless. Our group had a total of 8 people and we split off 4 and 4 with two guides, which made the atmosphere and size very personable. The length of the tour is also excellent as it allows you to return to Mexico City with time to prepare for dinner. Highly recommend!
