It was amazing! The sandboarding itself is unreal, and our guide Abdo (sorry if i miss spell) was very helpful, he explained how to ride and was waxing our boards as we were resting. We also had a nice Nile cruise by sunset, views were amazing! Also got a ride to chosen place, so it was a blessing! Manager is also a nice man, such amazing idea for Aswan activity. I 100% recommend ❤️

This was an amazing experience. Our tour guide, Abdo, was brilliant! The amount of times we went down was up to us.

Abdo was an amazing coach. He took us to a very good Sandboarding location in a good boat, showing around Aswan. He taught us how to snowboard really well. We had kids - 7 and 10 year olds. He taught them well too. After the activity he offered to take us to an amazing and authentic Nubian coffee making experience in a local cafe. We absolutely loved it!! He then dropped us back to our hotel. Loved the whole experience. Many thanks for making our activity special :)
The pictures on here make it look like everyone was having a great time, but that wasn’t our experience. We’re experienced snowboarders so thought this would be cool to do while killing time in Aswan. Hotel pick up/drop off - 10/10 Boat ride to and from sandboarding spot - 10/10 Actual sandboarding - 2/10 Our guide hardly spoke to us prior to sandboarding, which was fine. However, during sandboarding, he also barely spoke to us too! He didn’t tell us where we were going, no instruction on sandboarding, no advice, no small talk, nothing. I also agree with another reviewer that it is incredibly hard to get back up the sandy hills in the sun (we are in reasonably good shape). Our guide looked like he was in distress after climbing the hill only one time. We only boarded 4x because we were wiped out from climbing hills in the hot sun. Also, he took us to a steep hill that had quite a bit of rocks on the path. Apres ski - 10/10. Our guide took us for an authentic Nubian coffee experience afterwards, which was really nice. Overall, we were somewhat interested in this due to our background in snowboarding and had time to kill before our cruise. However, I wouldn’t recommend this to other travelers.
We sincerely apologize and will ensure our guides provide more comprehensive instructions in the future.
Abdul was our guide for sandboarding, and he was fantastic! We were running late for pickup, and he had no problem waiting over half an hour. He took us by boat to the sand slope with our boards and water. We boarded down on the slopes facing the Nile. A very serene and fulfilling activity, with relaxing views. We mentioned we wanted coffee, and after our session was up he took us to try Nubian coffee (delicious) at a nearby modest cafe overlooking the Nile. He was more than helpful, accommodating, had clear communication, and gave us a great experience! Would recommend to a friend!
Great experience! The coolest thing iv done while visiting Aswan! The boat ride itself is worth the money the sand boarding was icing on the cake. I asked my guide if I could visit the Nubian village because I had a little time to spare and he let me for an additional charge Be sure to wear shoes you don’t care to get a little dirty to the sand hill. They also took great photos!! If you can plan for it mix in some cardio before your trip walking up the sand hill isn’t for everyone!
I appreciate your feedback, Jacky.
I went to this place today with my family for send boarding and overall had an OK experience. Although the teacher and the instructor did not speak a single word of English and was not able to explain to us what to do we were able to figure it out. at the end of the activity, we walked inside the building to get a cup of water where I noticed a huge crocodile that was locked in a tiny cage where it could not move. The crocodile had no water, no food and was left in terrible condition. I was shocked and discussed by what I saw and if you have any integrity and any care for animals in your life, you will boycott this place immediately. I have uploaded photos of the disgusting scene, and I hope you are ashamed of yourself for treating a creature this way. I then asked the owner of it how long it had been in a cage like this and he explained that it was captured as a kid and had been there for 10 years. is literally smaller than a prison animal cannot move a muscle. Purely and utterly disgusting.
Hello, We noticed that you may have participated in a sandboarding activity that was not part of a booking with us today. Our itinerary does not include crocodile visits, and we only offer sandboarding with an English-speaking guide. It's possible you participated in a similar activity organized by another company. We want to reiterate that we do not offer tours involving animals in the wild or captivity.
It was fun and interesting experience, but exhausting :D We were taken from the hotel by the boat and reached the place after 20-30 minutes. It is hard, because after every ride you need to go up on the hill under the sun (recommend do it at morning). The guide didn’t limit us in time, so we spend around 2,5 hours on the hill. We refused the invite to drink a Nubian coffee and after riding went to the hotel by the boat. The guide bought for us the water before trip. Boards have holders for feet, so more comfortable do riding without shoes or in something like coral shoes) Wish to guide to find easier way for climbing on the hill for more enjoyable experience :)
I booked the 2 hour Sandboarding experience for 08:30 on the 26th May - I made the booking 5 days in advance (21st May) and it was duly confirmed later that day. I had chosen the earliest available slot as I'd looked at the weather forecast and that was the coolest part of the day. I arrived at the pick-up point at 08:20 and waited... and waited; at 08:45 I phoned the contact number, which just rang and rang before dropping out. I did this a further time and my hotel reception tried it a further 3 times over the next 25 minutes. After some difficulty I finally found a support number for Viator who also phoned the experience provider. At least 4.5 hours after my 2-hr experience was due to start the experience provider finally messaged me to say he'd forgotten to message me the day before to tell me he'd decided to cancel because of the heat and offered me a slot late that afternoon when it was hotter than it was in the morning. I had something else on at that time and it was the last day of my trip, so I never got to experience sandboarding and I have been told that my refund is being processed. I accept that people forget things, but the fact that the contact number was not answered either isn't acceptable. The weather forecast gave ample forewarning of the temperatures way in advance; so I can't see any reason why the guide would leave it to the day before to suggest any change. It left me with a wasted final morning and no time arrange an alternative experience.
We are very sorry about what happened to you , we thought it would be better to do before sunset not in the morning but we apologize that we didn't inform you before the day of the trip .
Overall: a once in a lifetime experience for anyone. Easy to figure out but requires being a bit adventurous and having above average fitness levels to enjoy, otherwise you will get tired in 15 minutes. We both know how to snowboard which helps, but it’s quite different on the sand! And climbing back up is quite tiring. But it’s totally worth the experience. Details: pickup at hotel, crossed the nile by boat then arrived to the first location, we walked up the hill then went for a few rides. After a few times we were already tired and took a break, during which the boat took us to another spot nearby. We then went for a few more rides on a beautiful slope. At the end we got some complimentary drinks and got brought back to our hotel. In the end we were tired but very happy. Our guide Abdo was phenomenal despite fasting (Ramadan). Our only feedback for the tour operator would be more of a suggestion: try and organize an ATV or small truck to bring people back up. That would make the experience way more fun (more rides) and less tiring. All in all a highly recommended experience and something different to your usual Aswan activities of temples and sightseeing tours ;)
thanks a lot for your gréât feedback and suggestions
