Itinerario

Initially disappointed to find out 2nd gorge was closed after we had already booked tour. To their credit they did reached out and offered a full refund or partial refund and change to a 1 gorge plus rock art. Took option 2 and wasn’t disappointed. Great guide with 28yr experience, very knowledgeable!
Highly recommend, was a great arvo. Very knowledgeable guides and amazing scenery. Book in advance, we had some friends who left it too late and missed out.
Great experience and learnt heaps from the guide called Ben and had the experience of seeing crocodiles
I was very happy with our 2 hour cruise, however I accidentally booked a 4 hour cruise via Trip adviser, the lady at the desk in the cafe said it's ok, she will make sure I get a $200 plus refund. This has not happened yet?
Dear anthonymP1441WB, Thank you for your review. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed your time on the gorge. We're sorry to hear your refund has not yet been received. As your booking was made through TripAdvisor, refunds are generally processed by the booking agent rather than directly by us, which can sometimes result in delays. If you haven't already, please contact our Reservations team with your booking details at reservations@nitmiluktours.com.au, and we'll be happy to look into this for you and assist however we can. Warm regards, The Nitmiluk Tours Team
We were supposed to go on the 2 hour tour but went on the 1,5 hour one Gorge and rock art due to damage after the last flooding. This tour was so good. Very informative and a wonderful tour guide in Emelie. We were so very pleased but of us. Thank you so much.
Dear j_borgstrom65, Thank you for your lovely review. We’re delighted that you enjoyed the One Gorge & Rock Art experience despite the itinerary changes following the recent flood damage. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Emelie. We’re especially pleased that you enjoyed learning more about Nitmiluk and the culture and Country of the Jawoyn people. We hope to welcome you back one day for the full Two Gorge Cruise. Warm regards, The Nitmiluk Tours Team
Wear walking shoes and arrive early great experience and get guide. Need to be organised for the 29kms out there
We spent a lovely 1.5hrs seeing the gorge, due to a very wet season we were advised (and reimbursed) prior the ride the trip that it would be shorter. We spent time off the boat to see artwork, I would have liked the guide to take us along and speak about each piece. It is a truly beautiful part of the world. Well worth taking.
Thank you for your thoughtful review, Pauline. We're delighted you enjoyed the beauty of Nitmiluk Gorge and appreciated your understanding following the wet season changes. We also appreciate your feedback about the Rock Art experience. It's a valuable suggestion, and we'll certainly share it with our team as we continue to enhance the tour. We hope to welcome you back to Jawoyn Country when all the gorges are open again. The Nitmiluk Tours Team
Sadly the tour could only visit the first and largest of the gorges due to the flooding earlier in the year however the tour did visit the rock art section at the end of the first gorge, so it was still very worthwhile and to be honest the second gorge wouldn’t have been much different. Sarah was our guide and she was very knowledgeable and friendly guide. The gorge was very beautiful and there were several freshwater crocs as well as birdlife. The rock art too was interesting to see. Note for the tour operator - perhaps the queue system at the dock could be done better . There was a queue system for those who cam on the Ghan however on our tour in was a lot more disorganised and not clear as to how tongue or wait for the tour. If it was done the same way as the Ghan tour it would’ve been better. Happy birthday to Sarah too. Great job.
Hi Aussie_2012, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words about Sarah. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time exploring Nitmiluk Gorge, spotting wildlife, and learning about the ancient rock art and rich cultural heritage of Jawoyn Country. While recent flooding has temporarily limited access to the upper gorges, we're pleased to hear that the Rock Art experience helped make your cruise worthwhile. Sarah will be thrilled to receive your birthday wishes and recognition for her knowledge and friendly guiding. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the boarding and queue process at the jetty. Guest feedback like yours is invaluable, and we will certainly review our procedures to see how we can make the experience clearer and more organised for future visitors. Thank you again for visiting Nitmiluk National Park, and we hope to welcome you back soon to experience even more of the gorge system. Warm regards, The Nitmiluk Tours Team
