Such an amazing an experience with Mitre Peak cruises. Staff were friendly, helpful and informative about the stunning scenery and wildlife in Milford Sound. Being on a smaller boat meant plenty of opportunities to see things without fighting crowds to get a good look/photo. The smaller boat size also meant getting so much closer to the scenery with resulted in an incredible experience. We would highly recommend Mitre Pesk cruises to anyone looking for a spectacular experience in Milford Sound.
The drive into Milford Sound is more awesome than the cruise. The cruise is ok. Doubtful Sound cruise is better value for the money spent.
great tour, smaller boat which meant we could get really close to everything. we got to see wild life and hear about the history. needed the free tee and coffee because it was freezing outside. would recommend
This tour is a must, it was the highlight of our 12 days trip through the South Island. Everything from the booking process, meeting point, the tour, the staff, the scenery, the experience was exceptional. The cost is also very reasonable for what you get to experience. The staff are very knowledgeable and engaging, showing interest in guests and very happy to have a chat. The boat wasn't overly crowded so there was plenty space to roam about and easily take some photos of the most amazing scenery you could ever see. We saw many seals, some dolphins and penguins. Probably thousands of waterfalls but the two main ones were incredible and getting up close to feel the spray was so fun. There's no way that you could feel disappointed in this tour, truly amazing.
the overall experience was incredible, our whenua of Aotearoa are just magic and this haerenga was a prime living experience of that! Kai mahi were super friendly and informative - we will be back!
We had a fantastic time on our cruise, saw loads, including dolphins and penguins; it was lovely that the crew were as excited about this as we were! The boat was comfortable and the hot drinks very welcome! A very well organised trip, with plenty of time given to look at things…
It was a great cruise and we loved the guide. It ran for quite a while and we even got to see some local wildlife like dolphins and seals.
The trip was great, the man on the microphone told us so many facts about Milford sound and the history of it. Was a good day for it as it rained a bit before so there were more waterfalls. Couldn’t fault any of it.
It was raining heavily during our visit, so we didn't get to fully enjoy the outdoor views. Even so, the fiord was absolutely breathtaking! We'll definitely choose the smaller boats again if we return in a different season. The crew was fantastic—they kept everyone entertained, especially since most of us couldn't stay outside because of the rain. Despite the weather, it was still an unforgettable experience.
mitre peak cruises were vgood, not too crowded and felt like they did not pack the boat, which allowed enough space for everyone to take photos and enjoy the views - cruisewas great and worth taking as you get to see beautiful landscapes, get close to falls and you just about get to ocean. Got to be under stirling falls, bowen falls and beautiful mountain ranges and glacier views
