Lo splendido scenario della Stone Forest Scenic Area è stato inserito nella lista dei patrimoni dell'umanità dell'UNESCO nel 2007. Questa attrazione gode di grande reputazione, sia in Cina che all'estero. Lo Yunnan Stone Forest Park, a circa 90 km a est di Kunming, è un punto caldo turistico molto popolare. A causa delle dimensioni gigantesche del parco è comunque possibile trovare zone meno visitate e remote, soprattutto nei mesi invernali soleggiati. Trova la tua strada attraverso il labirinto di enormi pilastri di pietra!Successivamente visiterete la regione panoramica di Jiuxiang, situata a Jiuxiang Yi e la municipalità autonoma di Hui della contea di Yiliang, a 45 minuti di auto dalla foresta di pietra. È famosa per le sue grotte carsiche (circa 100 in totale, di cui oltre 60 esplorate), montagne, fiumi, valli profonde nonché costumi e culture minoritarie. Questo tour include un bel po 'di scale. Per sicurezza e comfort, potrebbe non essere adatto a bambini piccoli o viaggiatori di età avanzata.

1,5 ore di macchina per una delle più grandi meraviglie dello Yunnan, la Foresta di Pietra nella contea di Shilin. Il tempo e il tempo hanno scolpito un enorme labirinto carsico che sembra di camminare attraverso una foresta, con antichi alberi di pietra che ti guardano dall'alto. Ogni formazione rocciosa che si passa ha la sua storia toccante o leggenda emozionante, tramandata dagli indigeni che vivono in questa zona da secoli. Gli indigeni appartengono alla minoranza Sani, un ramo della minoranza etnica Yi, che si può ancora trovare all'interno del parco, incastrandosi insieme cantando canzoni popolari o facendo ricami.
Più tardi, vedremo un’altra opera d’arte realizzata dalla natura, le Grotte di Jiuxiang, parte del più grande sistema di gruppi di grotte in Cina, con fiumi, gole, cascate, foreste, ponti di pietra naturale e tutto ciò che immagini di trovare in un paese delle fate. Entra nelle grotte attraverso uno stretto canyon verde e vedi l'ingresso delle grotte nascoste all'interno delle foreste dall'alto mentre voli sopra di esso in funivia. L'autista ti riporta al centro di Kunming dopo (circa 1,5 ore) e ti lascia di nuovo al tuo hotel.

We went on a one day tour from Kunming to see the stone forest and the caves, incredible sights to see. I can highly recommend it. I contacted Katherine a couple of weeks before to ask if she could organise a driver for us for the day. We started on email first and switched to we chat. She was super helpful and so professional. Always very quick to respond and very accomodating. Thumbs up!! I can highly recommend her if you would like to book anything in Yunnan. Everything was detailed beforehand. Pick up from hotel etc. You can plan individually. We had a driver called Hao. He was very very friendly and helpful telling us exactly how to get the tickets. You can decide how long you want to stay at each place. Probably better to allow quite a bit of time for the stone forest as the area is huge.

Wonders of Yunnan was truly amazing! Throughout the entire journey, my guide was very professional and talkative, and even shared the story of Ashima during the visit to the Stone Forest. The car was also very comfortable, making it a highly enjoyable travel experience.

The natural wonders were incredible but our guide was really supportive of our enjoyment, taking us through quite areas where we could appreciate the stones without the noise and hub bub of the mass of photographers. Authentic place for lunch serving plentiful amounts of tasty local food. Was a great day out
