Preparati a vivere l'antico Giappone a piedi con questa entusiasmante escursione attraverso le tradizionali città di posta, antiche foreste e spettacolari passi di montagna. Partendo dalla città postale di Tsumago-juku, la tua guida ti spiegherà un po' che tipo di persone percorrevano le strade del Giappone antico, dove andavano e come vivevano. Avrai la possibilità di entrare in alcuni edifici tra cui una vecchia locanda e una stalla per cavalli che illustrano perfettamente ciò che la tua guida ha menzionato. Lasciando la città postale di Tsumago-juku, inizierai un trekking di 8 km verso la successiva città postale, passando per cascate ruggenti e tranquilli borghi lungo il percorso. Tieni d'occhio la fauna selvatica e i fiori selvatici mentre sei guidato dalla tua guida lungo quella che un tempo era una delle principali vie di viaggio in Giappone. Arrivando alla città postale di Magome-juku, sarai trattato di viste lontane di campi e montagne mentre scendi in fondo a questo villaggio molto verticale. Dopo aver trascorso un po' di tempo per lo shopping, salirai a bordo del veicolo turistico e tornerai indietro.

Itinerario
Il nostro tour inizierà sul serio quando tu e la tua guida scenderete dall'autobus a Tsumago-juku Post Town. Un tempo stazione vitale su una strada che collegava Tokyo (allora chiamata Edo) e Kyoto, l'aspetto della città non è cambiato dal suo periodo di massimo splendore. Qui puoi trovare strade fiancheggiate da tradizionali edifici in legno che sono stati meticolosamente conservati dai loro abitanti. Alcuni edifici sono aperti per entrare e ti permettono di dare un'occhiata a come le persone viaggiavano nell'antico Giappone.
Partendo da Tsumago, inizierà il trekking del Nakasendo Trail. Con un totale di circa 8 km, questo percorso è una tappa obbligata per chi desidera combinare un'esperienza all'aperto con un'esperienza culturale. Lungo la strada sarai trattato di cascate mozzafiato, borghi pittoreschi e spettacolari viste sulle montagne. Il sentiero copre una vasta gamma di altitudini, quindi preparati a usare le gambe e a far scorrere il sangue. Con il trekking Nakasendo di 8 km completato, arriverai a Magome-juku, un'altra meravigliosa città lungo il Nakasendo Trail. Più verticale di Tsumago-juku, questa città si trova su una ripida collina che offre viste sui tetti degli edifici sotto di te e sulla pianura che si trova ai piedi del villaggio. Ci sono alcuni negozi di articoli da regalo e posti dove fare uno spuntino veloce qui, e la tua guida ti darà la possibilità di esaminare questi stabilimenti al tuo ritmo.

Nagano: Il pick-up alla stazione di Nagano è all'interno della stazione di Nagano di fronte al tabellone informativo proprio di fronte ai cancelli di uscita del treno proiettile alle 08:15 Il punto di prelievo sarà fuori dall'uscita ovest della stazione di Matsumoto alle 9:45, in fondo alla scala mobile. Cerca la Guida che indossa un tag Snow Monkey Resorts che ti aiuterà a raggiungere l'autobus.

Alissa and Taka were amazing! We learned so much from them. We're not really tour people, and while we love hiking anyway, I think this experience is much better getting all the history and interesting information about the trail. Also the group size is pretty small which is really nice. Also Alissa and Taka found us as the meet up point right away, so that part was super easy.

Our experience was excellent. Alissa is extremely knowledgeable and clearly pointed out landmarks in such a way that we could enjoy them. She’s a delightful person who appealed to every one of our party, schoolteacher, professor and journalist. She answered all of our sometimes pesky questions. She respectfully kept us safe, moving along, and on time. Alissa is well connected to the social structure of the community. She knew the residents, shopkeepers and caretakers. Taka was an excellent presence as well, answering general questions about the prefecture and Japanese history and was a delight to be with. We’ve taken two other tours through TripAdvisor, in Australia and Portugal. This was even more fun than the others and we will definitely look for opportunities to book again.

This is truly a beautiful hike and Dillon really knew some interesting facts about the Nakasendo Trail. I absolutely loved this trip. You should be able to walk 5 miles and there are uphills and downhills to contend with. There’s a bathroom halfway and bathrooms at the beginning and end. Highly recommend hike for people in good health.
This is our second time to participate in the Chinese mountain road, from wife cage to horse cage along the beautiful landscape. Our guide this time was Jake, who very carefully and professionally explained the sights along the way. We love Jake's affinity.
It was a wonderful tour! Alissa was knowledgeable and provided a lot of historical and cultural context that would have eluded us otherwise. She was also attentive throughout the tour and was mindful of our pace, especially during the more challenging sections of the trail. Our driver Nishi-san was also friendly and warm.
Dillon was great. Highly recommend this trip for those that enjoy hiking and history. While you can do this own your own, public transit isn’t easy in this area and the guided tour made it much easier, relaxing, and enjoyable.

Lovely walk from Tsumago to Magome with our congenial group of 12 + our guide Kieron. I enjoyed stopping for snacks and sights at the start and end. Long drive to get there, but worth it to experience part of the Nakasendo trail.
