Le Gornergrat est une crête montagneuse à 3135 m d'altitude. M. Il est situé à environ trois kilomètres à l'est de Zermatt dans le canton suisse du Valais. Le Gornergrat est situé entre le glacier du Gorner et le glacier du Findel et offre une vue sur plus de 20 quatre mille, dont le Mont Rose, le Cervin et le Liskamm. Le Gornergratbahn va de Zermatt (1620 m d'altitude) au Gornergrat, surmontant une différence d'altitude de près de 1500 mètres. Au terminus (3089 m d'altitude) sur la pointe sud-ouest de la crête se trouve le Kulmhotel, qui est le plus haut hôtel de montagne de Suisse. The weather is clear. There are no clouds on the top of Mount Matthong. Lake Eiffel is the best place to enjoy the reflection of Mount Matthong. Good luck to you.

Tony was our guide for the day and he was excellent!!! Met us on time at the hotel and enjoyed a nice walk around Zermatt explaining about the town, its history and development before taking the train up the mountain. I believe we saw much more and had a great experience as Tony knew where and when to get thru all there was to see and do. Very much worth the time. We would highly recommend!! During a day of skiing, we caught this train along the way (free with the pass), which took us to the top of the Gornergrat. The employee even delayed the departure by a few seconds, seeing us run with heavy feet!!! The view is splendid, the weather was great and the ski descent is worth the walk! Landscape to sweep with binoculars! Return to Zermatt, via chairlifts that pass over the chamois! What happiness!
We took a journey from the legendary trains to Switzerland .. We are delighted with it!! This rack train climbs up to 3100m altitude!! fabulous; with breathtaking views!! the sea of ice , up there!! and all the mountains , including Matterhorn , all white everywhere , in July!! it refreshes!! by panoramic train..
